I'm a Bengals fan. Houshmanzadeh is fine, he's just taking it easy. He will have a really nice year and I think will have a couple multi TD games, probably in the first half, but also be a steady producer each week.
As for Tab, I think he'll start slow the first week and gradually get stronger...
More than any year in recent memory, it seems like there are some legitimate starters to be had at RB in the mid rounds. I think guys like Fred Taylor, DeShaun Foster, Lamont Jordan, Ahman Green and Cadillac Williams are all solid guys with #2 potential that can be had later in the draft...
I would add the name Kenny Watson to your list. He is the clearcut backup to Rudi Johnson in Cincinnati. He should get all the 3rd down passing situation work.
He is one injury to Rudi (who may approach 400 carries this year and has more carries than any RB in the NFL over the last 3 years)...
Fair enough and I appreciate your statistical acumen. However, I would add that Pittsburgh has had at least 16 rushing TDs each of the last 3 years. So, I don't think its far fetched to think they will get that many again, especially since their line is in better shape now than it has been...
I agree with some of your post, but couldn't you make a strong case for the fact that Pittsburgh has a great track record of the goal line back getting a lot of TDs? Outside of KC, SD and Seattle, they have been right there as one of the teams that always scores on the ground. They are an old...
I agree with the first post of the thread. As mentioned, Marvin is 2 years from being 37. By then, Gonzalez will be starting on the best offense in the NFL and will be a lcok for 1000 yards and 8-10 TDs. And he has a lot of Marvin Harrison to his game. He really does have long term top 10 NFL WR...
While this is a specific question, I don't mind it in this forum too much because there is just such a jumble after the top 2.
I think you can make a reasonable case for each of the following:
LJ has the contract questions and that OL is falling apart but he's a TD machine.
Gore has a broken...
Yes, playing in a league like this myself, the extra 2 points does make a huge difference. If you project Palmer for 33 and a second teir guy for 23, that ends up being a 60 point difference just on TDs, not to mention yards, plus the 10 less turnovers that Palmer will have than Kitna. You can...
You make some good points, but I think I disagree. I guess I feel that RB is one of those positions where you should never pay huge money long term on a 2nd or 3rd contract (with very few exceptions, i.e. LT). More than any other position, RBs seem interchangeable. Indy dropped Edge and Addai...
I am not a Steelers fan. In fact I hate the Steelers. But, I agree with the others. You could see that Cowher and Ben weren't on the same page. You could see that the players weren't really responding in the same way and that a bit of the fire was gone after the SB.On the other hand, Tomlin...
I guess this is what I don't understand. This year? Ok, maybe. But, what is Jackson's future on a Green Bay offense starring Aaron Rodgers and Greg Jennings? And the Raiders, even assuming that Russell isn't a bust, have a long ways to go. They don't have a great OL, a top 5 QB, a top 5 WR and a...
I think Kenny Irons is very underrated from a dynasty perspective due to the fact that he will not give you immediate returns (barring an injury to Rudi). However, I think he will have the second best fantasy career of any RB drafted this year because:
1. Rudi won't be around as long as you...
Remember the name Brad Meester. He was by far the best run blocker on this team and he is now out for the first half of the season. This will have a very real effect on the rushing numbers of Jacksonville's RBs.
On a somewhat related note, Rudi Johnson's YPC dipped noticeably last year after...
I would like to get the conversation back to where people think Jacobs presents good value.
I don't want this to appear to be a what should i do type of response, but I wanted to throw a general idea out there and see what people think about it. If this isn't a proper type of post, let me know...
