Man I wish I'd stuck to my guns in this thread. :kicksrock:
I'm sorry, but this is just silly. You can't "stick to your guns" on a performance prediction and justify it with a sprained ankle.
It's like saying "Peyton Manning is having his worst season as a pro". No ####.
Total fantasy...

Take it at face value. It's the player talking, not the staff. We'll know more on Wednesday, but I think he'll play this week.
Smith walking around on his own power... I don't know if we'll see him tonight but still could be a factor down the stretch... 14 points in 2+ quarters of work.
Hernandez is very solid... tonight put him over 400 yards and his 6th TD was called back. He's right around 10th in points for the position, which is where he belongs right now, IMO.That being said, got Gronk in the 10th round and don't expect to get so lucky in the years to come. His production...
Same. Gronk's numbers put him among the top ten among all pass-catchers for fantasy so far this year. Through ten games, 805 yards and 10 touchdowns. Ten more points in my standard league than my WR1, Mike Wallace.
I think if you have the roster space I'd still throw a low bid at him. If either one of those guys continues to be limited, the door opens for McKnight. He's kind of an interesting hybrid between the two. Just has to learn better pass protection and picking up blitzes.
