With my draft tonight, I thought I would give my latest thoughts on this slot.
I'm going with Brees right away. To me, he has the fewest ???s.
2/3, of course I'll look for value to fall. However, I am prepared to go WR-WR here (Boldin, Smith, Welker, Jennings...) That should give me an...
Why is it thought to be so smart to try to hit on one of several QBs in the mid-later rounds, because one of them will pan out? Of course this is the case. However, it is also the case that several RBs taken in the middle rounds will pan out.
For some reason, many owners feel that the smarter...
This kind of gets to the point I'm working with. Every year, there are plenty of top ten Backs who fail to live up to expectations. This makes a "miss" in the early going fairly likely. It seems that an RB I take a chance with a couple of rounds later has just as much of a chance of hitting...
I'm asking because post after post states something like "I don't like taking a QB early" or something along those lines. With 25,000+members here, is there anyone who has generally taken a QB in the first round?
I'm pretty sure that many people with say it depends on the year, depth of other...
In the interest of full disclosure, I have not been following things too carefully this offseason (other obligations, interests...). Generally I have made my living following the stud RB theory, but I went WR-WR one year with the last pick. This season, I am picking 3rd. Scoring is 6pts all...
Unless I'm missing something, the Giants should be getting Osi Umenyura back for next season. Assuming that he is near full strength, that's a nice addition to consider.
Other than that, there is an extra 2 and 5 to play with (Shockey trade). While I do not feel that it's worth a major deal...
I love the idea of a home field advantage in FF. I like eliminating the "luck" factor to whatever extent possible. FF is silly enough with all the scoring rules in there (D gets penalized when the teams offense throws a pick 6, for example), why not try to negate the luck factor somewhat? I...
Kind of like anyone who picked #5 this past season. They were doomed because the "big 4" would be gone. The more I play this game, the more I realize how much we are not able to predict. So this year we will have the "big 5" who are locks to carry teams. Look at the consensus from this past...
I'm telling ya...this is a lot of fun when you make your own decisions. I love checking out all the rankings, but you gotta do your own thing :goodposting:
I kind of expected this. Hey, the Colts managed 13 points last week. At home. Against KC. This came off of a 6 INT day. Now sure, it appears that I blew this one. But I felt it best to make sure that Indy was able to get back to normal before risking another low scoring game. FWIW...
Hmmm...This may not have worked out as planned :goodposting: Hey, Peyton is ranked 6th in my scoring system. I don't see anything "yahoo-ish" (to quote another poster) about making ones own decisions given the info available and based on watching the games.I may lose as a result of going...
I'm starting Vince Young (fresh off the WW) in place of Peyton this week.
Until Indy gets healthy, O-Line included, I can see why Peyton is no longer an automatic.
