The lower seed respected the tough situation the Commish was in, and went on to fight another day.

Nothing in our current rules addresses this problem. In order to move forward, the Commish applied his preference to award the win. We're gathering insights from others to put something in the rules for future years.

A 12-team 3-division league lends itself to symmetry with the current 14-game fantasy regular season: each division opponent twice, and each non-division foe once. With no divisions, the asymmetry of your opponents can also lead to inequities.
