He just went 3rd in our rookie draft that started today, with K. Jones and Eli Manning going ahead of him.

Runningbacks are overrated anyways. You don't need the top talent or depth at RB to win in the NFL nowadays. I think they can risk taking a shot on McGahee and drafting a RB or picking up a J. Stewart on the waiver wire.

What if Henry gets hurt this season, his value will definitely take a dip? If McGahee is healthly, then trade a healthly Henry and get max value while you can, no need to wait it out if McGahee is truly healthly and ready to go.

It's funny, but I didn't think this topic was going to get this many responses for or against the dealing of Henry, even though half of the posts here are really about the formula of success of the NE Patriots and they lack of a running game.

It's funny that mbuehner mentioned Buckhalter, I was thinking that the Bills could trade Henry and then offer a contract to Buckhalter for I believe 4th round compensation. That would give the Bills aproven backup for a 4th rounder. Just a thought.

To me it comes down to the health of McGahee not whether he is capable of running the football. If Buffalo feels full confident that McGahee can shoulder the load of a full NFL seaon, then I think it woul be in their best interest to trade Henry now rather than later and get max value for him...

My first thought was Detroit, if Taylor or Winslow wasn't there. They could pickup Henry and draft another need with the Buffalo pick. Or how about Oakland? Could be too big of a drop for Oakland, but Henry could be a younger and cheaper option for Norv Turner's offense than Dillon. Just my...
