    RIP Chester McGlockton

RIP Chester. I played against him in high school, and without a doubt, the lick he put on me is the hardest hit I ever felt. I seriously thought he had broken my shoulder. I saw him the following spring at a track meet, where he was competing in the shot put, and he was a really quiet and...

    ***Official Minnesota Vikings 2011 Thread***

Yes, along with Muhsin Muhammad, Stephen Davis and a really good defense (Kris Jenkins, Brentson Buckner, Mike Rucker, Peppers, Will Witherspoon, etc.)

    LeGarrette Blount

Didn't Blount have a preseason game where he caught 3 passes for something like 50 yards? I seem to remember that and maybe one of the catches was for almost all of the yardage, but still it was encouraging.ETA: I found the game. It was against Miami, game 3 of the preseason. He had 3...

    How did Gates look?

His numbers might have been padded even more if Rivers would not have forgotten is was 4th down on the Chargers' final offensive play. Looked like the coaches were limiting him for now, but as mentioned, Gates at 75% is really good. He would have scored a 2nd TD, but the Jets were called for...

oakland special teams td throw to boss

This comes up occasionally and the reason is that typically points are designated as Special Teams/Defense. The Raiders were in an offensive set on the FG kick. Maybe that's why D/ST points aren't awarded for made FGs, and kickers don't get points for passing/running TDs.

Gates Thinking About Long Term Rest

Maybe it's a league where lots of teams hold 1 TE until they have a bye week issue. Fred Davis is the 13th ranked TE to date, so he's not an obvious no-brainer deserving the overused Guppie (sic) dig.

    Kregg Lumpkin's own threadd

It's a tear now? I've seen it reported as a Grade 2 sprain and thought that was milder. Is there a difference?

    Denarius Moore - CIncinnatti Bengals

This is one of those sound bites that is repeated but overstated. For example, I heard a remark from Reggie Wayne this week in which he was putting into context why Kerry Collins had struggled. Wayne said that it took him two years to learn the offense (presumably "on the job") so expecting...

    Cam Newton

I'm a Panthers fan and have conceded my error in judgment about Cam Newton. I really wish I had picked him up in my leagues.

    Friggin' Matthew Berry

I like Berry and listen to the podcasts. But for all of you drooling over Stephania Bell, you should check her out in high definition. Plus, do a Google search with her name and Erik Kuselias. I'll leave it at that, but I could say more.

    Denarius Moore - CIncinnatti Bengals

That must have been where I got the idea. Otherwise, :ptts:

    Denarius Moore - CIncinnatti Bengals

Maybe Hakeem Nicks? Not a perfect comparison, because there rarely is one, but all of what you describes applies to Nicks.
