Eh, wouldn't mind rostering Manningham, Sims-Walker, or Knox as a potential flex/WR3. Don't have super strong feelings about any one of them since can see valid arguments for each of them to be either this year's Royal or "project for next year" (e.g. back to waiver wire in redraft).
So I'm...
Putting aside talent which is not even close... NYG D is reasonably stout. No reason to expect shootouts for the remainder of the season which is what it would take for Smith/NYG to overtake Smith/CAR.
Weird question... how can one consider the O line without taking into consideration the strength of QB, RB, etc?
Anyway, I have always heard D linemen are the better athlete's. If you take that as true, then great scheme, coaching etc would be more important to great O line then a great D line...
See Manning, Peyton (2008).
OC change could be issue, but I think its Brady working his way back into form. Similarity to Colts situation last season seems strong. Look for Patriots O to begin clicking in October for a playoff push.
Putting your picks aside, I really liked this strategy section. We all do it to some degrees, but I doubt I have seen it put so well. Bravo. Best of luck this year.
PPR = balance between stud WRs/RBs
Discussed above.
PPR = larger player pool
3rd down backs and possession receivers are rosterable with PPR. Without it, they are about as much value as blocking TEs.
PPR = west coast RBs >>> power O RBs
This is one downside since it rewards one...
Do they get WEEI ? If so, they're Patriot fans or at the very least, in Patriot fan country.
If not, then I have no idea who they follow. Nor do I really care.
To argue anything else is irrelevant.
