I'm in similar auction/keeper/dynasty/salary cap type league. What happens in mine is underperforming players who were bid up very high in the offseason and are now eating up 25 - 35% of cap space are dropped for cheaper, actually performing players. So far guys like R Matthews, Spiller...
Do you guys think the Raiders will definitely get a new QB? Doesn't the Kyle Boller signing kind of indicate that they'll be sticking with what they have? What do y'all think?
This is true, but how many guys have we seen flourish in the #3 spot and then bomb when they become a starter? I'm not saying he won't be great, just that it is a risk, and some people don't seem to be factoring that in enough in their trading decisions. I find it hard personally to shoot him up...
It is in the self-serving interest of all teams to veto trades which make 2 other competitors stronger. It may be unethical, but unless your league is full of habitat for humanity volunteers, let a trustworthy commish or a 2-3 person panel decide.
Yes. The problem with the collusion only argument is that you can very, very rarely ever prove collusion. What do you need to prove it? You asked for a good argument as to why the owner would do the trade. You didn't get one, he stated a case for trading for a RB in general, NOT for Reggie Bush...

Right, but the idea is to trade the theoretical #5 RB with a tough schedule for the #6 or #7 with a good schedule. Don't trade Dwill for Ryan Grant or anything, but maybe like Ronnie Brown who still has Buffalo and Tampa left on the schedule. It's hard to tell SOS in the preseason, as we haven't...
