I agree with you. This album solidified my enjoyment of blues. I think Clapton did great justice to all of these songs and artists. I’ll also agree with “Five Long Years” for the playlist. I think that has some of Clapton’s best guitar work.

I love the music Kansas put out through the years, but I couldn’t place a specific album at the time with which to nominate. I’m very glad that others were more in touch with things and gave this band some well deserved support.
This pick would have been more controversial when and shortly after its release, as record companies became disenchanted with Springsteen’s releases during this time, as they didn’t seem to show the success nor creativity of his earlier releases.

I was warned that Rush tends to bring out a bit of emotion among this group. With that said, I appreciate the different tastes and styles of music portrayed even if I’m not a huge fan of a particular genre.
I was surprised to see this album make the cut. I am a Rush fan, but this one never crossed my mind. I considered earlier albums, as I thought the group took a step back starting with this album. Living up to its predecessors was a tall task, though. Not a bad album at all, though.
I was tossing between this one and a different PF album. I ultimately chose this one for Echoes, One of These Days, and my perception that this album introduced the sound that would make Pink Floyd so popular throughout the decade. The album was groundbreaking, IMO.
