x2 here. Never leased a car in my life. With the exception of my first car, I've bought all my vehicles new and outright and kept all of them for at least 100,000+ miles doing most of the maintenance myself.

That's what I've seen from quite a few dealers lately. I think part of it is people figure if you've invested the time and in some cases, the travel cost to go to a show like the National, you didn't go to just look. The best place I've found to get cards at or around comps these days is off...

Yeah...this seems to generally be where I'm headed. I'm firmly in the "if they want your bike, they will get it but they'll at least need tools" camp. I just want to avoid the opportunistic guy who uses my stolen bike as his means to get away quickly too.
