The Colts were dumb because they were never 1 (overrated) CB away from a Super Bowl.
But you add Justin Jefferson to the 2026 Bills and beyond....and they are Super Bowl favorites for the next 5 years. 3 late Round 1 picks is worth the price to become Super Bowl favorites over a 5 year window.
In 2020, Allen finished 2nd in MVP voting to an all-time historic Rodgers year (48 TDs, 5 INTs). LamaRB would have lost both MVPs to that same historic Rodgers season.
Allen was just unlucky that his MVP year in 2020 coincided with Rodgers having an unbeatable all-time year that same season.
You're forgetting one important factor: Not all 1st round picks are created equal. The Bills 3 1st round picks would be Picks 26-32. You're essentially getting 3 2nd-round talents.
If I'm Bills GM Brandon Beane, I am offering three 1st round picks for Jefferson this offseason.
Win-win trade for both teams. Vikings need to do right by their superstar WR. Trade him to a place where he can actually utilize his talent.
"Jackson has been the slightly better regular season player"
LOL what? NO, no he hasn't been. At all. One guy has scored 80 more Touchdowns than the other. Which is which?
Allen is better in the regular season and way better in the playoffs.
The window is actually just opening. Bills will prioritize WR this offseason. They will add a WR1 and a WR2 this offseason most likely. The O-Line, TEs, and RBs are all intact.
Allen will actually have some young WRs to work with as he heads into his 30's.
Diggs was a low-end WR1 who Josh Allen elevated into having his best years. Without Allen as his QB, Diggs has only been good, but never great. The only times in Diggs career when he was great, was due to Josh Allen elevating him.
1 low-end WR1 (Diggs) + JAGs isn't a special WR...
2020: 13 Wins, 46 TDs
2021: 11 Wins, 42 TDs
2022: 13 Wins, 42 TDs
2023: 11 Wins, 44 TDs
2024: 13 Wins, 41 TDs
2025 on pace for: 12 Wins, 44 TDs
His FLOOR for any given season: 11+ Wins, 40+ Touchdowns at the bare minimum.
With 4 more TDs (He has 296 right now), he will be the only QB in NFL...
This is just lazy analysis. Only 5 current QBs have won a SB (Mahomes, Stafford, Hurts, Flacco, Rodgers). Outside of those 5 QBs, nobody else has "won anything" If you go solely by Super Bowl wins. Hurts is a Superteam merchant. Flacco was in 2012. Rodgers was in 2010. So really only 2...
