Best of the Rest: Draft Edition

Running Back • Cory Ross, Nebraska A Callahan-coached RB in the West Coast offense, even if his realistic upside is a 3rd-Down back in the NFL, still presents decent value on Day Two, IMHO.

    Culpepper to Miami

There is no such thing as "passing" or "failing" a physical. That's just not how it works. If MIA wants to play hardball, just start the rumor through Mortensen or Clayton that Culpepper "failed" their physical. Then, go back to MIN and say, "how about a 3rd or 4th rounder instead?"

Rudi Johnson - RB - CIN"Worried over the uncertain status of QB Carson Palmer's knee and pre-season buzz surrounding RB Chris Perry's 3rd down speed and pass-catching abilities, CIN RB Rudi Johnson's torrid 2005 end-of-season fantasy performance will be lost on many fantasy drafters. A...

Pythagorean Win Theorem for 2005/2006 season

Dude, It Doesn'tI actually appreciate the time you've spent on this thread. Interesting stuff. My only quibble is with attributing things to James and his work which he never actually said. He discusses these issues in the 1981 Abstract. More recently, the Red Sox had him work on a question...

    Patriots, what's so impressive?

There's something about the Patriots that reminds me of what Bill James once said about Bernie Williams (whom he thought at the time was wildly under-rated).They do everything very well, but no one thing so extraordinarily well that it demands your attention and makes you think "that is an...
