Ok I have a few minutes, IMO a few reasons this isn't really moving the needle even though they are really exciting results. 1. Simplest- this is a Phase 1/2 and there is a long way to go in clinical development before this would be approved. 2. Right now the advanced therapy (Cell and Gene...

    Good quality kitchen knives?

Just want to say thanks as I've been stalking this thread as I needed a couple new knives and picked up this one and another from earlier in the thread. Probably need to refresh some of my 15 year old henkels we got as wedding gifts soon too.

Used to be Cruise vs Island, now the upcoming Aruba trip.

Did a fishing charter a couple of weeks ago. Caught 4 Mahi and ~6 Bonito, crew cleaned and we cooked them back at the timeshare. We had a great day, but the water can get pretty rough so keep that in mind. Our boat, was Ke Pasa, totally recommend them if they are available.

FBG'S TOP 100 PINK FLOYD SONGS - #01 - Comfortably Numb from The Wall (1979)

Generally just a lurker on the forums, but as a PF fan had to pop in and say thanks to @Anarchy99 for all the work on this thread. I never really listened to the early stuff so heard a lot of new songs from this thread. Also, I got tickets for my dad for Aussie Pink Floyd this past weekend and...

Do you hoard credit card points?

Thanks. Will look into the chase cards. Makes sense. I don’t mind avoiding the united card if there are better options.

Do you hoard credit card points?

Looking for a new card, probably a travel card, what are people's thoughts on capital one venture vs the united card? I honestly hate united but live in NJ so pretty tied to them for most trips and they really push to get you on the card to have even basic perks like checked bags.

    Bourbon guys

We did a bachelor's party a few years ago (pre-COVID) in Louisville, and for the downtown spots we really liked Michter's and Rabbit Hole. They aren't the huge farm types but they were both cool experiences and we enjoyed the bourbon as well. They are both set up well for tours and had solid...

    College Admissions Questions

Great advice there. I may have missed it, is she looking to stay in Academia or move into industry? Some advisors are better at placing students at one or another. I'm in biotech and we hire a lot of PhDs. Almost always the first stop is talking to professors we have connections with to see if...

    Car Market going forward

So no idea if this is the issue, but I had an old car where this was the issue. It turned out the glove compartment light wasn't going out when it was closed and slowly draining the battery. Took forever to figure out, but if you put a multimeter across the battery you can see if there is a pull...

    Bourbon guys

I’ll add more tomorrow but I do think Irish are underrated overall. You aren’t going to get the burn of a full proof bourbon but there are some interesting flavors out there. If you can find teeling by you they are worth a try for sure. Only working distillery in Dublin and it felt like going to...

    College Admissions Questions

Also she is an athlete which will boost the merit aid she gets. Like a lot of D3 schools that can't directly offer athletic scholarships they find other ways to get money to athletes they want. When I was there, a soccer player lived across the hall from me freshman year. We had very similar...

What kind of WINE did you drink last night?

So just bought a new house and the seller left some wine that was his father's in the basement. All in a cool basement on its side. I haven't gone through it all yet, but at first glance it is from France from the 1970s. What's the first step here? Wife and I enjoy drinking wine but aren't...

    Stock Thread

I know I mostly lurk here, but cell therapy is my area of expertise so I wanted to just give my perspective. MSCs have been around for a while now, and they are most certainly safe, and they are bioactive in a variety of diseases. I worked on a very similar product 10-15 years ago and we had...

    College Admissions Questions

I am in biotech with Chemical/ Biomedical engineers. It's somewhat niche in the overall engineering world but I doubt its much different for entry level hires.  It's just my opinion, but I'd say internships/ co-ops are most important, especially if you like the company and want to work there...
