I've been thinking about this a lot lately. And I've come to realize I really enjoy playing fantasy football with friends and people i appreciate most and just talking about the sport. All the websites like Footballguys, Rotoviz and Numberfire just help me do that better. Winning is secondary .
I've been playing on Yahoo! and notice the exact same thing. The pricing structure makes it the most difficult to set a quality lineup by far IMO. That said, I've only played on Draftkings and fantasydraft. Fantasydraft I've noticed has some decent overlays from time to time and I've made the...
Good point. I think I embrace the high variance players too much in tournaments since I'm looking to finish among the top tier.
But is it a sound strategy to play a tournament game like a cash game if you're just aiming to min cash?
I've only done the $5 50/50s and have been spreading out multiple lineups in each one. So I can't answer that question since I haven't participated in a 50/50 over that price.
I have noticed the beginner contests are exceptional when it comes to lackluster lineups though, so I would get in on...
I haven't cashed in a tournament yet but 50/50's have been working very well for me. I hope you're all applying what you read in the book because it works.
But has anybody finished well in a tournament on here yet? Don't think I've seen a story.
Very nice data. I'm loving Cole Beasley in tournaments this week. Would go with Jordan Reed but he got injured in practice tonight, word is it's nothing serious so I'll keep an eye on him. Thanks for posting this.
BTW, where do you find this data?
One of my favorite things to do is go with QB/WR or QB/TE stacks with a rushing quarterback. Example: Colin Kaepernick this week against Pittsburgh paired with Vernon Davis. Hyde took the majority of the touchdowns last week but that could easily flip if Kaep finds the end zone with his arm and...
Eagles defense away against a high-powered offense in a game with a high over/under. Avoid defenses that are on the road, with a high O/U and that are playing against good offenses.
A.J. Green and Jordan Matthews were both decent plays, Matthews had over 100 yards. No touchdowns unfortuantely...
Hey everyone, hope you're all as excited about starting your first DFS week as I am. Just have a few questions.
One, I've been using the interactive value charts for a cash game tournament. Is the ideal point projection total about 150 to win money in cash games?
Two, Are there any ways you...
As far as I know, it seems like he'll be part of a committee with Virgil Green, but the Broncos run a lot of two tight end sets under Kubiak. I'd think Daniels would be intriuging because he's the better receiver and the Broncos stand a good chance to score a lot in this one. Think he could...
Yes, I know, they're playing Seattle.
But...
The Rams have always played Seattle tough at home. Average margin of victory in their last 3 games in St. Louis is about 3-4 points. Their defensive line has looked incredible in preseason and Nick Foles shouldn't hamper the offense like other QBs...
Agree with you on the cash games. And yes, GPPs are tough when it comes to finding a QB that will play well who isn't highly owned. You guys go to rotogrinders or something to figure out which QB isn't owned as much in GPPs on draftkings and fan duel?
With the Packers having injury woes I'm considering the following options.
Matt Ryan vs. Philadelphia. (high over/under at 53, two offenses with good quarterback that could potentially shoot it out.)
Carson Palmer vs. New Orleans (over/under not as high at 48, but he's playing at home against...
