If I recall, Herm took a lot of heat for that. "Is he so clueless that he has to hire a coach just to tell him when to call timeout", or something like that. Dr Z used to suggest it in his columns all the time.
Any advice on hybrid leagues? We do an auction for four rounds and then draft the remaining rounds (a full auction takes too long for the league to switch completely).

I remember reading somewhere that Bill Parcells had specific criteria for drafting a QB. It was something like they had to have graduated, been a multi-year starter, etc. Has anyone seen these? If so, how does this year's class measure up?
I think not only the CBA, but what the uncapped year will mean for teams. Without a salary floor, will a low revenue team like Buffalo, or a team like Tampa Bay with a lot of debt dump salaries to save costs?
The biggest problem with an uncapped year is not that there won't be a cap, but that there won't be a floor. This would be an opportunity for teams to unload big salaries in order to return to profitability. That would go along with what Biscotti is saying, and it also means that the owners...
Kelly Stouffer sat out the '87 season for the St. Louis Cardinals after they drafted him 6th overall. He never played with them and they traded his rights to Seattle the next year.
From what I understand, If 2010 is an uncapped year, Cassel is a restricted free agent, because he won't have six years of service. If that's the case, Pioli will probably not extend him this year.
