12-team Super-flex MOX league where you can start 2 QBs (1 flex). It's a modified PPR League (.5 for rb/1 for wr/1.5 for te).
I was offered up this trade that I accepted:
Dwayne Bowe, Lance Moore, and Greg Olsen
for
Harvin
If Brees wasn't already 34, I would be in total agreement with you. I shopped him a little bit over the past couple of weeks, and people (at least in this particular league) would always bring up his age as a pretty big deterrent. Which is exactly why I have been shopping him. While...
Curious to hear thoughts on this trade. 14-team Super-flex MOX league where you can start 2 QBs (1 flex). It's a modified PPR League (.5 for rb/1 for wr/1.5 for te).Team A (me) gave BreesTeam B gave Crabtree and Locker
Just made 2 trades in a MOX HP League. 14-team modified PPR (WR's 1 pt, TE's 2 pts).
Gave: Cobb and Decker
Received: AJ Green
Gave: Ivory, 2013 1st and 2nd rounders (late)
Received: Roddy White
I'm Team A, and believe it or not, Team B made this offer a couple times over the offseason before I accepted. Brees is already 32 while Roethlisberger is 29. Three years doesn't seem like a lot, but it definitely was part of the equation, and why he was making the offer in the first place...
I'm Team B. This league is a superflex where you can start 2 QB's. It was tough to give up Mendenhall, but upgrading from Ryan to Rodgers to pair with Big Ben on my roster in this format is absolutely huge IMO. With each of our teams' make-ups, I think this was a win-win for both in this trade.
From a "real world" win-loss perspective, I see what you're saying. Teams very well might have figured him out a bit at the time. But from a fantasy football perspective, in his last full year starting Vick was #6 OVERALL regardless of position in my league. And in the limited sample during...
Any new thoughts on Vick's dynasty value? He's obviously proving he still has value, but the question is just how much. Even if Kolb ends up returning from injury and producing at an even higher level than Vick has these last two games, the guy is going to get a shot somewhere. And produce.
As an owner in several of the MOX Leagues, I agree with el centro. Great leagues with good competition. The different scoring formats also give variety.
I happen to think Vick would be very productive from a FF standpoint if anything happens to Kolb. He has a ton of weapons around him, and I think the claims of his physical abilities deteriorating are getting a bit overstated. I'm not saying the guy would duplicate his 2006 level of fantasy...
This thread is a microcosm of the vast majority of trade talks I have had over the years in various leagues. Nine times out of ten, owners value their own players more than other owners are willing to give in trade. I'm sure I do the same. Cook is a prime example---he's on my roster in one...
Found a couple interesting observations from people on a Packers forum about Woodson's amazing play this season: Woodson is the 1st player to record a sack, cause a fumble, recover a fumble, intercept a pass, and return an INT for a touchdown in a single game (vs. Lions this season)... in NFL...
Not a fan of what happened on this. I agree with Ariakis that it seems like an unfair loophole---and needs to be addressed by the league. From reading the message board, it looks like it is.
However I don't agree with his blatant accusations of not only the other owner, but specifically of...
