Just finished 11/22/63. It is King's best work in a long time. I have read just everything he has written, and haven't enjoyed any of his books over the last 10 years as much as this one.
I just finished week 7 of Insanity. After week 1, I added a pullup routine because Insanity really does not work these muscles. During the recovery week, I ditched the pullups and added the upperbody workouts from P90x. I do the insanity in the AM by the calendar and use one of the 4...
I'm finished with week 6. The Max workouts are truly insane. Max Cardio seemed to be the easiest but only because it was shorter than the other two. I haven't figured out whether the circuit or plyo is the most difficult. I'm totally smoked after both.
Max Recovery was much more difficult...
Starting month 2 tomorrow. I took Fit test 3 today because I'm scared of the 60 min workout tomorrow and know it will be a killer. I have skipped core cardio and balance for the last two days due to waking up with a pinched nerve/pulled muscle in my neck on Wednesday. It was still stiff today...
You've stepped up the pace from the first month and your body requires more fuel. Don't feel guilty about more calories, as long as they are healthy. Listen to your body.
I missed my first Insanity workout after 25 straight days on the program. My knees have been bothering me for the last couple of days and seem to be getting worse. They don't bother me while working out, but really start to hurt when I am sitting with my legs bent. When I woke up this...
Great job. I have a couple of questions.I'm a little over a week away and am already dreading day 36 - my calendar shows both the Fit Test and Max Interval Circuit on the same day which seems like overkill. Did you split these up? How boring was the Core Cardio and Balance for 6 straight days?
I'm done with week 3. My fitness level has steadily improved. I can easily hit 3 different levels during the warmup phase and am seriously sweating by the stretch.
My ranking of the main programs based on ability to complete all exercises with minimal breaks:
1. Cardio Power and Resistance...
I paid for touring plans my first trip and TGM for the second. They were both well worth the money. We would arrive at park opening and have all of the major rides done by noon and then just do what we wanted. It is hard to compare the two side by side since it has been a couple of years...
Jut finished Pure Cardio + Cardio Abs. Last time i did the abs first but felt tight during the workout because cardio abs doesnt start with a lot of warm up or stretching. I did them in he correct order this time and would recommend t to all. I waited about 5 min after pure cardio and was...
Finished fit test #2. Averaged 32% increase overall, and I didn't have to pause the dvd while lying on the floor after globe jumps like I did the first time. I was also able to write the name of the exercise on the paper this time instead of barely scrawling an almost illegible number...
Finished day 13, pure cardio and cardio abs. I did the abs first, but didn't like it. I wasn't warmed up or stretched enough and felt very tight during the ab workout. Next time I'll do cardio first and wait 10-15 min until I am ready for the abs.
