    Chronic Back Pain

This is a very informative video from the BBC re: pain. The entire doc is well done, but chronic pain is the focus starting at the 44 minute mark. Wishing you well, phrozen.

    Chronic Back Pain

MRIs are notoriously bad for chronic pain sufferers. They find things that are not necessarily the problem (for example 50% of a healthy population will have a positive "finding" on an MRI), yet surgeon's think that this is where they need to cut anyway. Meanwhile, surgical outcomes for many...

    Chronic Back Pain

The reason that you are not getting a consistent answer in the thread is - unfortunately - there is no consistent answer. Science has informed us that (more often than not) after <3-6 months there is no significant deformity or physical ailment that contributes to chronic pain. In this...

Huh...never saw footage of the show. Hadn't realized he was still using his electric.

Agreed...maybe without Mike around, but not holding my breath. The only acoustic DT-thing I know of is a B-side from Falling Into Infinity on the 5-Years DVD (although the Rudess/Petrucci "Evening With" show/CD has some acoustic stuff too, if you haven't checked it out).

If you dig Marco, watch out for his album later this year with Guthrie Govan and Bryan Beller (if nothing else, advance to 3 min mark and enjoy)

    Progressive Music Thread

I, for one, am looking forward to hearing some DT without Portnoy's growls (didn't fit, IMO...and I enjoy Opeth and LaBrie's Static Impulse) and maybe with some more creative input being readily accepted from Labrie and Myung (who has few if any writing credits since '94, I believe). I am...

    the LOGISTICS of Auction Drafts

I have a league where we have guys in 5 different states...we utilize an IM chat room with fair success. I moderate and it works fairly well; it has become more efficient every year. I keep track of the rosters/salaries/money remaining on a google doc spreadsheet that all participants have...

    Player Spotlight: Trent Edwards

I agree, but planning to utilize players and actually completing the task are 2 different things, however. This team with Edwards and Losman threw the ball to Evan 113 times for 849 yards and 5 TDs in 2007. Compare that to Evans' rookie year, he was thrown to 68 times for 843 and 9TDs...

    Porcupine Tree &/or Ozric Tentacles

Agree and Disagree....Spock's Beard was good with Neal, but I find post-Neal SB to be boring and somewhat un-listenable. However, whether or not his music is accessible to everyone (by excluding those people who are turned off by his Christian prog)...he continues to put out some wonderful...

    Porcupine Tree &/or Ozric Tentacles

Glad to hear other guys enjoying PT. Bob- Once you are finished perusing the PT discography, take a quick peak at a Blackfield disc...some very solid writing by Wilson, but with a more pop/rock sensibility (which won't likely be as much to your liking, but some good stuff all the same and...

Game Thread W14 - Kansas City V Denver

Could someone make mention if Kolby Smith plays in the 2nd half? I am a commish in a league that allows subs if a player is injured and doesn't play in the 2nd half...might decide a game today. TIA
