It’s difficult to go A+ for the Eagles. Do I think Howie maximized his selections? I do. In the first round, Jiihad Campbell is a no brainer, swing for the fences every time kind of pick. From there I can’t fault him for who he picked but as it played out there were better players within reach...

The Georgia Alabama Texas etc approach to the draft is so simple but ingenious

Conceptually I get the approach by Howie in this draft. Small trades to maximize pick value, either up or down, and pick players from big schools with pedigree and special traits. Much like his approach to FA for the past couple years.

He is exposed in coverage at times but Reed is a perfect example of having just enough talent coupled with the value of instinctive play/film study and a DC that puts him in the best position to succeed.
