I saw The Materialists last Friday evening. I was a fan of director Celine Song's previous film, Past Lives. This one was much more upbeat in tone and accessible. I still prefer Past Lives, but if you are looking for something to watch with a loved one, this fits the bill.

Watched The Color of Money last night. It is this rare crossroads movie for me where I'd put it in my top five favorite movies of Tom Cruise, Paul Newman, and Martin Scorsese. It is an absolutely delight and a rarely mentioned great sports movie.

We rented a movie theater auditorium out on a Friday afternoon for my 37th birthday and I intro'd this movie and watched it with 12 of my closest film buddies. It is my favorite movie about Hollywood.

Submitted my home league story even though "I go here" haha. What is amazing for me is how it has grown from 8 single guys in our first year to become two generations of managers with 12 members, 11 spouses, and 17 kids. When we get the whole league and families together it is QUITE the event!

I agree with every bit of what Ramblin is saying here. On the other side of the coin, if I am set up to win NOW, CMC is the exact player I am trying to get on the cheap with the hope he has one great season left in the tank.
