perfect example of the Pefer Principle. Ben was perfect for the role of designing creative plays and setting them up. He is not a leader. Not worried one bit about the offense. Dan always had in hands in it. It may lose some creativity but it will stay basically the same with a little less...
Only way to build a team is to make a splash in FA. We have too many young talented studs who are still developing, I want some splash! But seriously...
I have never seen a defense get so devastated by injuries like Detroit'a did last year. They were pulling guys off the street to play it...
After a disappointing but understandable end to last season, I am super excited about the coming year. We just need to get healthy and not suffer 20 injuries in key contributors. Our core is obviously good enough to compete for championships. Can't wait to see who we get in the draft.
And...
I hope the third year is a charm for Moseley. He has so much ability but can't stay in the field. Dan seems to really like Moseley's work ethic and attitude. On the flip side, I have a suspecion that Dan was not impressed by Iffy's work ethic and willingness to work his way back from injury...
Actually, the chart in the article above is a bit misleading in that it does not start at 0,0. It starts at 750,0. In order for a GM to have been more efficient than the Lions, they would have to be above the line from 0,0 to the Lions data point. If the chart is expanded and a line is drawn...
An interesting analysis of value NFL teams got out of their players from draft picks in rounds 1-3 from the last 4 drafts (2021-24). The analysis was posted on reddit by a Bengals fan.
How much value did each team get from their recent draft picks in
Basically he used PFF ratings and snap...
In my analogy, the ungrateful business owner represents the ungrateful portion of the fanbase. HTH.
I do not recollect any positive vibes you have ever brought to this thread. All I have seen the last week is going on and on about how the Lions have no chance unless they make a big splash in...
As I stated. It is not about questioning it is about constant negativity about everything. If posts are constantly showing you :
1. Don't like Brad moves and picks
2. Don't like how Dan coaches and game calls
3. Don't buy into the philosophy the ownership has adapted
4. Don't think they...
I am not a big fan of people who have constant negativity when people are working their butts off and doing an outstanding job. I would prefer to be supportive. Not saying you can't have some criticism or questioning their decisions as everyone makes mistakes and can improve.
That said...
Brad Holmes was named Exective of the Year last season, which was well deserved. Brad Holmes has executed 4 of the top 6 drafts in Lions history. When was a Lions GM ever considered the best in football? Pretty safe guess is never. Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell have been the best thing ever...
It would be great if they could get an injury discount and sign him in the $35 million range. Because I would hate to see his market price if he has a 20 sack season while also dominating the league in QB pressures.
The Lions extending Sewell early for $28 million looks like a bargain with other 2021 draft studs Parsons and Chase extensions looking to be in the $40-$45 million range.
But when Hutchinson comes up for an extension, he could command closer to $50 million assuming he gets healthy and plays...
