    Picking from the middle

I'm in exact same position too.. My feeling is after Gore or AJ- from 7-10 in my ppr league- nearly all the owners may go WR/WR at the turn. Maybe 1 RB like Turner goes. At 15 I could be looking at a second tier WR, or I could go for a second RB and load up on WR's rnd 3-5 or so... Does...

    Steven Jackson

His back wasn't a problem until late in the year, and it did hurt his production alot. He should start the season healthy and be a monster producer, but once the disc in herniated, even after the shaving or repair, it's weaker than before and just takes a hit to reherniate. It has to be a worry.

    Steven Jackson

Thanks for the info. I still do exercises that I learning in PT, but will read the book and incorporate that in. Back pain is a hell of a thing. I had friends with problems, and I used to scoff at them when they complained. Then it hit me, and it's a serious deal. I hope SJax does well with...

    Steven Jackson

I had disk removal or shaving surgery to fix a herinated disc in my back that was putting pressure on the sciatic nerve- which I beleive what Jackson was dealing with. At the time, I was told a 92% success rate with no pain in the future, but that my disc would be a weak spot for the rest of my...

Best/most efficient Big Game QBs in SB era

I'm not dogging Starr, but looking at the game stats to his playoff games- it looks like he hardly had to throw it. Super efficient though with an incredible td to int ratio.. but he barely avg 175 yds a game and about 13 completions. In the regular season, he was very avg- almost threw as...

    Best QB Ever?

Not to mention an older and skills partly robbed from injuries Montana leading a sub par KC team with a miraculous playoff win in Pitts, and beating a supposedly unbeatable Houston team to go to the AFC Championship. The next year out dueling Elway in the greatest Monday night game ever and...

    Best QB Ever?

The uber great Jerry Rice weighs in- he should know: NEW YORK POST - November 17, 2006 edition- Interview with Jerry Rice.. Q: If you had one game to win, who would rather have throwing you the ball - Joe Montana or Steve Young? A: It would have to be Montana with the chemistry we had. It is...

    Best QB Ever?

The great John Madden says: "You know he can be so cool, Joe Montana, the greatest quarterback ever. I'm going to say that. I mean . . . I think we get up, we always do disclaimers, you know what I mean, the greatest quarterback I ever saw, the greatest quarterback in this half century, and...

The best QB in NFL history

I agree. Manning is a fantastic QB. No one can dispute that. However, ever since his college days- he has had a deserved rep as falling short in pressure situations. He gets skittish, he rushes, his normal happy feet (which is usually a sign of mechanic breakdown but in Mannings case is his...

The best QB in NFL history

I never made that speculation at all.. I don't even understand what your saying.. "teams that get scored against have bad offenses" bad offense? huh? What I said was a teams offensive cabability puts pressure on the other teams offense which helps the defense. You actually disagree with that...

The best QB in NFL history

While your at it, check the stats for the patriots def a few year ago when Brady and the offense was dominating. The other team trying to catch up leads to one dimensional play, sacks, and turnovers.. I had the Patriots def that year.. they weren't a dominant quality def- but they feasted on...

    Super Bowl 44

Elvis on Ed Sullivan in 1956 had an 82.6 Nielsen rating! I beleive the Beatles also either came close to that or beat it too- I know their overall viewers were higher as #'s of TV's had grown considerably. Less people, less tv's back then so even the 82.6 amounted to 60 million people vs. 100...

The best QB in NFL history

I wonder if having one of the most efficent, deadly QB's ever putting tremondous pressure on the opposing teams offense to try and keep up helps make his defense elite.,, two sides to everything and neither takes away from the other.
