We only have 6 teams in the playoffs and the top 2 reg season teams get a bye in the 1st round of the playoffs. It is the reward for finishing at the top. This evens out the luck factor pretty well.
Depending on who drafts him, Calvin Johnson could be sick. He is putting up great numbers with a BAD QB...
He has size, ability, and a great attitude. Imagine Randy Moss or TO with Marvin Harrison's attitude!
Marino was the greatest pure passer of all time. That doesnt necessarily mean he was the greatest QB of all time. I am a huge Marino fan, but it was probably Montana.
I will say that people seem to forget the great teams like the Bills that would have put a serious dent in most QB's playoff sucess.
Harrington looked pretty good at times in the preseason. Any talk going on about putting C-pep on the bench or do you just roll with him until you miss the playoffs?
I think McMichael is going to surprise this year. He has had flashes of brilliance in the past and I think will only benefit from the changes the phins have made.
Who do you think is the better sleeper? It seems like Morency might have a better shot at being the starting RB whereas Maroney might end up in a RBBC. Is that right?
No. I have no idea about the qb situation for the jets and wondered why nobody drafted Pennington if he's the starter & healthy... Unless I was missing something?
Pennington is on the waiver wire in my league. I have bledsoe and just saw that Romo might challenge for the job... What is the consensus on Pennington? I thought I read that he was looking OK, but I cant remember.
Had 3 rookies in the league this year who started an early run on QB's which allowed me to get Moss and Taylor. I reached for bledsoe b/c I think he could surprise this year with TO and the guys below him were all pretty rough. I believe I was the last to draft a QB-in the fifth round!
