I still think he's pretty dumb but obviously that argument doesn't have a lot of traction when they're 8-1. When they're faced with great talent and great coaching (i.e. in the playoffs) I expect another meltdown.

Yeah, big lols at "problem is not with talent level"... he can barely hold a football. I mean, good luck, but he was mind-blowingly awful so far. No other team claimed him in August for their final roster, and you see how many teams are desperate at QB.

Oakland would probably draft me 2 rounds higher than Detroit and Cleveland and everyone else graded me, so I don't know if I would have much of a choice. But I'd pick Oakland anyway. Not the best city, but better than mid/lower tier Midwest, plus the fans dress like Mad Max bad guys.

He's a "name" player but there are no good CBs on the street in mid-season. Just like there are no good tackles, pass rushers or QBs.

Okay, in that case I'm surprised the initial reports were for PED, because StarCaps/diuretics aren't those. They're just banned substances.

So is TO happy that he can't be blamed for this one, or mad that that means he'll miss his only chance for national coverage this season?

"Banned substance" isn't nec. the same as PEDBanned substances include masking agents, Starcaps etc.

Whatever he was taking to enhance his performance, he wasn't taking enough.

30 targets from bad QBs isn't "lots of chances" to me. Fine if you've decided to pass judgment but I don't really see the point.

People love to pile on Oakland and were calling him a bust the minute he was drafted at #7, considered a reach. I mean, maybe he is, but he never got a chance to prove himself. And still hasn't, with the state of the passing game. I don't understand why people are rabid to celebrate his failure...

re: Grant They don't choose good times to run. Pass on first down... as noted during the game, Rodgers's rating is worst on 1st down and he's taken the most (or at least many) sacks. On 1st down? That's terrible. So now if Rodgers wasn't sacked and they have the luxury of being in only 2nd...
