Consensus Top 350 Albums of All-Time: 180. Rust Never Sleeps – Neil Young and Crazy Horse

I really should have just put The White room, but this one is basically the white room rereleased with some other stuff. I was scrambling at the end and just thought it was fitting to include the KLF on my list. Some of my choices are just trying to represent artists that I really identify...

I added imagine to the playlist because it just seems like the right thing to do, though I’m sort of partial to jealous guy. I have probably like 200 records from the 60s and 70s from my dad, and I still think this album sounds the best of any of them.

Co-sign 100%. The rakes song is actually the first Decemberists song I ever heard. Was mostly into hip hop, electronic and punk and hardcore from like 98-03 and then not paying attention to music from like 03-09, but then I heard the rakes song and was fascinated by the storytelling and had to...

I do remember that now that you mention it. I really should have just looked at that list to help make this one. This is a tough one because it really depends on the mood I’m in, as there are several different tones to the songs across this album. But I guess the one that i always want to...

Slowly working through the list and just wanted to say that I have never heard The Chameleons, but I am definitely digging their catalogue

I did the same, sorry doc. You’re doing the lords work. I also see that I spelled “on” as “ion” for a different album, but I’m guessing that one will be inconsequential…

💯 I think I was a junior (around 16) and I want to say I read about this album in metal edge when it was coming out and I had to have it and it didn’t disappoint. Davis’s combination or rage and extreme vulnerability is fairly uncommon and this album still has the best grooves of all of their...

Going with Down Rodeo. I like the fact that it is fairly different from a lot of their other songs in terms of sound, vibe and construction. I am a sucker for this kind of octave-jumping, snarling bass line . And the metaphor and imagery is so ####### cool. Can't waste a day when the...
