Fair enough. I think your point is valid. Im not sure if she will get people to be continued viewers. People watch for different reasons. College it's about your alma mater. Pros is different. I think the WNBA will always be niche because it won't move the needle much , even with Clark...

I watch all Oregon State sports, including the women's B ball team. Pretty entertaining, especially when attending in person. I actually enjoy the women's game in college, more than the mens....our mens B ball sucks though so that's partly the reason.....I don't really watch many sporting...

If you watch her play, you wouldn't be asking this question. She is a flat out, stone cold killer.

Sounds pretty perfect......I've had similar thoughts. I could've been a trout bum if I didnt get married, and have kids.

Yep.....wish I was in a position to buy a place over there when it was cheap

Are you hooked? I learned to fly fish on the D! I was addicted from day one even though caught more trees than fish initially... I assume you mean the lower Deschutes down around Maupin? The great thing about that area is it can be pretty busy but there is still plenty of access, and room to...

Huge fan of Air BNB as well. No brainer when you can get a good one for same price, or sometimes cheaper, than a hotel room. I think for those of us who are Oregon natives, and remember Bend how it was before it was "discovered", lament for the old days. I've actually considered moving there...

It depends on who you ask about Bend. Many locals have moved away as it's grown. It's all relative I guess, depending on what ur used to......they are now doing quotas for the trailheads in the 3 Sisters, and Jefferson Wilderness areas. We do a lot of camping/fly fishing trips, so I don't...

The more I think about it, GM's suggestion of a river float thru town makes more sense to maximize your time. And it would be nice, and relaxing. A lower D rafting trip would be an all day thing, and you'd be driving well over an hour to get there from Bend.....it's a whitewater trip too. The...

    Oregon road trip

I would check out Local Ocean for seafood in Newport, and pop into Rogue for a beer. Another adventure....razor clamming around seaside. Just need a good low tide, minimal gear you can rent.....fried razor clams! Theres tons of info on the web.

Sounds like a cool trip! In central OR you could check out the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, and the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway......then pub crawl! If you're adventurous you could book a guided rafting trip on the lower Deschutes. Definitely recommend Pfriem in Hood River...

What About Pop Culture Have You Just Stopped Paying Attention To? Or If Not Pop Culture, What Have You Ditched?

Same for me. My kids listen to mostly pop/hip hop, etc........my metal tendencies are not rubbing off on them, and vice versa. Also, I still watch Seinfeld and it's as relevant now, as ever. Almost daily I relate something in my life to a Seinfeld bit. Yesterday was doing the opposite of...
