I own both for this year in a keeper league that counts return yards and TDs, so they are worth the risks. It's very close, but if I had to keep just one, I'd keep Patterson. Harvin's injury history plus the fact that Minny probably needs Patterson more than Seattle (great D, etc.) needs Harvin...
So what's the general consensus on this guy for next year and beyond? Do we have a tackling machine in the middle of the lineup for the next several years, or is anyone with more knowledge of the Falcons than I worried they might not be totally sold? From a distance he sure looks like a nice...
Good point about the "I was offered X for Allen" stuff. I too was wondering about the JAX matchup, but I've decided not to overthink it. Allen is getting targets in the Red Zone and this game is in Jacksonville. Thoe two factors, plus the fact that he looks ridiculously good, should be enough to...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Lynch have a DUI trial/hearing coming up in December? He could start next year suspended if December doesn't go well. In addition to that, I believe he's due a lot of money in 2015. And while he's not old (27), he does have 1,400+ carries and 6,000+ yards...
In a keeper league where I have other good keeper options and am competitive despite my RB black hole, I have been offered MDJ for CJ. Still mulling, but leaning toward taking MJD.
I don't know if this is worth much, but this is from a chat yesterday with a beat writer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (emphasis added):
Derek: Is Clayton ready and able to come back and help out at wr this week? thanks.
Jim Thomas: Clayton is eligible to return to the active roster after...
Very funny. Might have to try that. I once bet an owner on draft day his first round pick against mine that his keeper RB, who had led the league in scoring the year before, wouldn't even make the Top 10 that year. Thanks Curtis Martin. I had two first rounders the next year.
Full disclosure: I picked him up as a backup to Vick. But just look at the schedule. There are some questionable secondaries in there: NYG, MIA, NE, Dal. I don't know that I would want to start him every week, although I will if Vick goes down, but I do think this guy is going to be at worst Top...
