They weren’t "exposed" by the NYG, they were simply beat (man up). That's a huge difference. Same as they were against Philly and Baltimore. You can't compare that Giants pass rush to what the Jets are running out there this Sunday. That's absurd. Lot's of teams gambled and tried to beat NE...
NE's defense (like many other 3-4's) doesn't need great play from their secondary to be effective. They take a lot of the burden off of the DB's, by putting pressure on the QB with their pass rush.
I drafted him in all of my deeper leagues, and picked him up in the shallower 12-teamers, once I heard Burleson was on the shelf. I love his TE2 upside.
And my whole point is, that even without Tom Brady, I still can't see either the Bills or the Jets, knocking off NE. I’m not saying that NE is going to be better or even remotely close to as good as they would be offensively without Brady. I’m just saying that even without him, they SHOULD still...
Confidence is virtue my friend. ;) But it's not blind confidence. I have plenty of legitimate reason to think that NE is STILL the favorite to win their division.
You cite the KC game as a measuring stick to determine how they will fare going forward and I say NONSENSE. Brady going down had...
What im saying is that NE will win the east again and it will not be as difficult as people are making it out to be. Will it be "as easy" without Brady? Of coarse not. I just don't see the Jets or Bills as a real threat to them for the division.
You can't really put much stock into what you seen last week. Their entire offensive gameplan was designed under the impression that Brady would be at the helm. They will make adjustments this week, and taylor it in a way to put Cassel in the best possible poistion to succeed. Similar to what...
NE will still win the AFCE pretty easily IMO. They won’t win games by as many points as if they had Brady, because they will take a much more conservative approach and win games by grinding out the clock.
