Agree - one fumble was a bad snap. I don't remember the other one.
I said in the McCoy thread that I believe Chip Kelly game-planned for a run-heavy defensive front, and had a lot of quick throws & play action. That kind of stuff can help a QB a lot. The thing that impressed me most...
I think Sproles looks like the best player on offense. I don't know why he isn't getting 70% of the workload (except perhaps his small size and to protect him from a pounding).
If I was the Panthers, and I was facing the Eagles with Mark Sanchez, I would load the box with 8 and leave 3 back in...
Two things:
1 - 2014 is looking a lot like 2012 and 2009. 2012 he was injured for four games, and 2009 he was splitting carries with a bunch of backs in his rookie year. It's almost like he's an every second year player...
2 - he's reminding me a lot of the old Vikings RB Robert Smith...
OK, couple of comparisons. Numbers crunched because I'm bored....
First - Bears 2009 vs. Bears 2008:
Last year through 5 games they passed on 52.6% of plays. This year, it's 59.7%. Through the 5 games, that's 20 fewer run plays than last year, so around 60 yards right there (even at their...
I agree with this. As good as Mendehall looked, the run blocking was the difference. Mendehall came in for a few carries in other games and seemed to get hit in the backfield every time. Even the one long run he had he managed to escape a defender 5 yards into the backfield. With the...
My league gives 1/10 rushing or receiving and 6 for a touchdown.Past rankings through 16 games (our fantasy season including playoffs):2009: #162008: #202007: #14Those rankings are discounting games that he did not play due to injury or bye.Without doubt he's a great RB, but not a great fantasy...
The reason I'd consistently rank him out of the top 5 is because he doesn't score touchdowns. Sure, he'll get 1500 total yards, but with 4-6 TDs on the year, he's not an elite FANTASY talent.I love watching the guy play, but from a fantasy perspective there are at least half a dozen better...
Whoops! I was looking at the top 250 forward, but then looked at the rankings which I assumed would be full season rankings (not just in-week rankings).
That said, I think that the Patriots on a bye may still put up more fantasy points than KC this week  .
Please ignore my early morning...
So, not to give any of the insider FBG info away, but following this week's game the Patriots Team Defense has dropped from the pre-season ranking of #3 to .. um.. well - not in the top 25.
Does the FBG staff (specifically David Dodds) think that this defense has gone from one of the best in...
So what's the thought after this week? 66 rushing, 62 receiving, still no TDs (although his team did make it into the red zone). That's a 2.4 YPC (rounding up). Bulger looks terrible, and the Seahawks aren't know for being a stifling defense. Maybe those week 9+ where the schedule is...
Re: The winning percentage comments - if one QB is better than the other (dictated by equal turnover/attempt, higher completion percentage (.624 vs. .536), higher touchdown percentage (.060/att vs. .018), higher yards/attempt (7.5 vs. 5.8) - how is it possible to put the loss of a team on the...
Nobody mentioned Ronnie Brown? The guy who last year was a top 10 RB, boarderline top 5 on pre-season lists, and who was the #1 RB in the league when he got injured, and who is now down around RB#25 and falling based on the statement that 31 year old Ricky Williams will be the starter?
Next...
Am I the only one thinking back to 2007 and the Jessie Chatman/Ronnie Brown pre-season depth chart announcement? Or Mike Bell in Denver in 2006?
I wouldn't personally want either Ronnie Brown or Ricky Williams as my #2 RBs. RB3 - sure. For Ricky specifically I wouldn't rely on him for more...
Couple of notes here. I was an Eli owner in my league last year, and watched a lot of the games because of it. I definelty saw a turning of the corner of his ability at QB. I'm not saying that he'll be a great fantasy QB because if it, but he'll be a good NFL QB if he continues (or even...
I will be taking whatever receiver I can get... I'm in a Dynasty league, and Smith was my "anchor" at WR. Now he's a different sort of anchor. I also have Deion Branch, and about 2/3rd of my cap tied up between those two and Steven Jackson who also might not be playing.
IMO, unless you can...
