Imo, Crowell's reputation doesn't jive with his tape. I didn't see him flash a single plus attribute last year or this preseason. Therefore, I just don't see how he keeps the more explosive, more agile, more versatile Duke Johnson off the field.
I agree with this. If healthy, Duke will get a lot of run due to his passing game chops and Crowell's lack thereof. With his potential as a 3-down RB, Crowell's flaws/ penchant for fumbling, and the lack of RB depth on the roster, I think he's got a great risk/ reward profile in PPR.
Prior to Duke's concussion, a number of insiders (e.g., Caplan, Grossi, and Cabot) stated that they expect Duke to lead the backfield in touches or to have a big role. I would also note that Bloom, a Crowell fanboy, liked Duke's talent/ fit over Crowell's coming into the preseason.
