It's true that Rex, Griese, and Orton give the Bears the best over-all talent they've had at the position in a while. It's also a sad, sad, sad statement to how terribly this team has failed in drafting/signing/developing a QB since McMahon. I'd really like to see improvement here, with maybe...
Given how poorly Grossman has been playing, the move was going to be made regardless of the week 4 opponent. No point in doing it sooner, either. No shame in losing to SD in week 1, and the Bears won in week 2. Rex's continued poor play through week 3, on top of poor performances in weeks 1...
With you here -- just see my projections in the Grossman spotlight thread. :tfp: Here's what I would like to see happen (outside of getting McNabb, which I don't see as in any way realistic): Griese gets the nod this year. The Bears are too close...too good everywhere else...to hand the...
Just curious...if the Bears have no one to match up against TO, does anyone? The Bears have "Peanut" Tillman, who will get burned by the Steve Smith's of the world but is as good a "big" corner as there is in the league. Not that I'd recommend sitting TO...just saying that I'd guess Tillman...
Giving ESPN some credit, Le Anne Schreiber responds to the criticism -- much of which was brought on by folks here, through this thread. Here's the link. Relevant quote:
While the votes are there, where's the voice against Salisbury? I'll grant that the others are probably worse in snippets, but this guy is always on, it seems, and always annoying. My vote was for quantity over pure (lack of) quality.
I'd think if it's truly "garbage time" -- up by 21 in the 4th -- most teams will pull their #1 guy, whether it's Addai or no. If they're only up 10, though, most teams will keep their top guy in if they're looking to run out the clock. Clock-killing yards will go to the teams that (1) have a...
To hopefully add some content here...anybody have anything at all to say about Tarvaris' skills? I've read absolutely NOTHING about the guy this off-season. All assumptions seem to be that he'll be in way over his head, but I've not seen any reports at all about how his camp performance. His...
I'm starting Rex vs. SD over Rivers vs. Chicago. That's right, I said Rex. Let the jokes begin...I'll be back Monday to take it like a man, or make sure you all know I was right.
Three years ago, start-up dynasty league, I took Culpepper and Harrison at the 10/11 turn in a 10-team league. If I'd have had some fore-sight, I could have taken Tiki and Rudi and been set at RB at the time. But Tiki hadn't yet broken out, and Rudi only had the one good 1/2 year to go on...
