10 team redraft July 4 weekend (13 years running). Pretty much same team drafted with exception of losing WR2 Allen early, Pryor really came thru for most of year. Early July bets on Dion, Foster and Howard, 1 paid off which was good enough.
QB: Rodgers, Ryan
RB: Miller, Howard (used Dion in...
I certainly didn't intend to... its a fact that the Pats only had 3 possessions late into the second quarter. Strange paced game. My bad on the bell rung, I recalled he looked woozy on the play but it may have indeed been a cramp.
First possession: Ridley
Second possession: Lawfirm
Third possession: Woodhead
Woodhead ripped off a 12 yard gain on his first carry, followed by a 1 yard stuff where he got his bell rung. End of his day. Criticizing a prediction after a player got hurt is pretty poor form. What's clear is...
I'd pass... Gore still has the potential to be a bellcow back though hasn't shown anything in 2011. If it were a slightly better WR like Jennings or VJax, I'd be hard pressed to keep Gore.
Yup, the hypothesis seemed plausible though ultimately inaccurate.
I'm still no closer to understanding how the passing game is more or less the same, but clearly there are fewer holes this year. Did the blocking scheme change?
Good question, let's see what the Game log dominator says. From 2007-2010, Gore has averaged 11.45 fantasy points in a loss and 18.34 in a win. That's not really what we're after, but it makes some sense: how Gore goes, the Niners go.Here's a better cut...Gore averaged 14.61 fantasy points if...
Pulled the trigger on Foster... straight up for Stafford (ostensibly my #2 QB). Best case, I'll coast to championship with this move; worst case, I'll have to QB shuffle between Roethlisberger and Newton.
As far as I recall, SF hasn't had a viable passing attack since Garcia. And yet Gore has put up good numbers over the past 5 years with no real threat from the QB position. How has this changed this season? (honest question, SF is waay off my radar at the moment)
Fitzpatrick left the game with a clean uni. No sacks, no knockdowns (that I recall). Facing an immobile QB in week 2, they should have done better than the 2 sacks with pressure up the middle. I just haven't seen any QB pressure except in that preseason game against the Bucs where Andre Carter...
