Most Embarrassing Thing Someone in Your Family Does?

I've become an expert on grilling steaks so that ours is done at the same time and hers is brown all the way through.. Same thing, no red whatsoever.. She'll cut it up and put it in a frying pan if it does..

West Michigan here and it sucks big time.. Summer is already short enough.. Now we have "hazy" days where the sun is blotted out...

Automobile DIY work that everyone should do

Well, to be fair, it's not MY set up.. I just have access to it.. I grew up in a salvage yard which my dad still owns and I can use it whenever I want (have keys) . And I'm currently the GM of a collision center that obviously has all the equipment/tools I'd need to use.

Automobile DIY work that everyone should do

The most money saving DIY auto repair that someone that's handy can do, is brakes. That being said, I have a garage with a hoist, air tools and if necessary, torches. It can't be stuck if it's a liquid. I can't imagine doing it in my driveway with jackstands and hand tools...

Automobile DIY work that everyone should do

Been in the automotive business my entire life. I've done everything from brake jobs to an engine swap. I HAVE plugged tires before, but that's one of those things I like to pay a professional to do. Something about my tire blowing out at 80mph doesn't seem very fun to me...

Does anyone else regress when wife/partner/spouse is out of town?

With a wife and four daughters (2 still living at home) it's extremely rare that I'm home alone for any amount of time. MAYBE for a few hours a night on a random Wednesday.. Last night was one of those nights. I cut the lawn and then grabbed 2 brats, a couple of beers and walked next door to...

Has Anyone Ever Served on Their School Board

My wife has been teaching for 30 years.. I remember back in the beginning we were out to eat and her Union President was there.. She told me, "You need to get on the School Board so you can help fight for your wife!". I regret many things I did or did not do in my life.. Not joining the school...

What's Normal? - Have you ever changed a flat tire?

I grew up in a family owned junkyard... So yes.. lots and lots. I've taught my daughters how to theoretically do it, but I don't expect them to. Just getting the lugnuts busted loose is task I doubt they can do. My girls ain't "country strong" lol My quickest change was when my wife called...

The 100 Greatest movies of the 1990s 1. Goodfellas

The reason I think it might be the best ever adaptation (besides The Mist) is because I loved the story line of the movie better than the book. The movie focused way more on Warden Norton and Andy stealing his money was MUCH better than the book where his friend on the outside invested Andy's...
