I have him in two of my three leagues, plus I have season tickets for the Panthers so I truly enjoy watching him play every Sunday. Its great when he makes a play like he did on Sunday with the 65 yd. TD when he tiptoed down the sideline to score the winning TD. I get to cheer with the crowd...
QB: K. Warner, E Manning, J. Delhomme
RB: F. Gore, J. Lewis, F. Jones, Hightower, A. Bradshaw
WR: S. Smith, G. Jennings, R. White, D. Jackson
TE: J. Witten, V. Shiancoe
K: N. Kaeding
D: Carolina
The size of the sample this season is small, but if you look at the teams the Panthers have played against (SD, CHI & MIN all were in the top 5 for FF re-draft leagues) with the last two games especially were against two very tough Ds that really rushed the passer well. CHI was stacking 8...
I would concur with that... he is still learning the blitz packages and the SD and CHI D are two of toughest ones we may see all year. I am sure DW will still be in the mix, but how can you NOT put Stewart on the field more when he produces results like we have seen over the preseason and the...
I was at the game on Sunday and was very impressed with Stewart. He ran with power and leg drive bouncing off tacklers and really injected life into the Panthers offense. DW has looked very good too, however, he is more of a slasher and did not have much success against the Bears that day. I...
I was actually at the game and the first fumble was on the Bears first possession when they were already in FG range and stopped the drive. Didn't see exactly what happened in that one. The next fumble was in the 3rd quarter when the Bears had the ball around their own 25 yd. line and he made...
Good information here, but you may have hit the nail on the head with the last statement. Carolina has NOT been loaded with the talent that we know have, especially at RB and our ability will lead to many more scoring opportunities than we have seen in the past. I would not be surprised to see...
I am also very excited about the possibilities of this team. For us to start 2-0 and in first in the NFC South, without our best offensive weapon sitting home watching his teammates has got to instill more confidence in the team. For the first time in several years the offense has more that...
I think it is wrong to indict Hackett for not doing anything with the opportunity of for the first two weeks, and I will tell you why... Hackett was hurt for most of TC and really didn't have much chance to work with Jake to build rapport with him. The QB / WR is important as it takes timing...
I think that Moose will be the starter opposite Steve, but DJ will get plenty of snaps and will be equal in FF value as Moose will likely be a little bit more consistent, but DJ will have some games were he doesn't do much, but he could also have a few games where he makes several big plays and...
The Colts stopped trying to run the ball against the Bears and got too far behind and had to go to the pass to try and make a dent in the Bears lead last week. The Panthers were very committed to running the ball and had nearly 30 carries, today and I think the heat and the fact that Stewart was...
He got two for the game, I believe, but I wouldn't worry about that. The Bears were coming after Delhomme and we didn't throw the ball very well against the Bears D. I think he will be fine and will actually probably benefit from Steve Smith coming back next week. He is too good of a player...
Actually the pass to King was never a completion and a fumble. He had it bobbled it, bobbled it again like a volleyball and it landed in the hands of the Bears defender. Delhomme gets charged for the INT, but it was 100% on King.
I am concerned as an Addai owner, however, he went against two very good Ds in the Bears and the Vikings, plus Peyton is getting into playing shape so I think he will be fine, but a very slow start for sure.
Steve Smith should put up big numbers upon his return for several reasons.
1) He feels like he let his teammates down and he wants to make ammends for his actions and win the trust of his teammates. He can put that chip on his shoulder use it to motivate himself.
2) For the first time in...
