First, yeah It should be Taylor and not Driver. As far as why Hornung is there is versitility. Hornung was a college QB and was changed to HB with the Packers. He not only ran the ball, he passed, and kicked. He led the NFL in scoring 3 years in a row. I really like Grenn, Bennett, and others...
While the auction format is very good you do have one thing to consider. This is a nonpayout league. Auction takes more preparation. If the owners are willing to do it then you are fine but if only a few spend the time to do real research and the rest don't it won't be worth doing the auction style.
The first thing you should know is there is no right or wrong to a dynasty league.
Some like larger rosters. Some like smaller.
If you guys don't do IDP now I wouldn't, seems it's a "pride" league.
You could have a Taxi Squad if you want. We use it for rookies so that owners don't have to...
You have to remember the "poison pill" can still be used by a team that signs him. For example, if he plays more than 6 games in California his contract escalates to some unbelievable number.
It'd take than just a guaranteed early first next year to get it from me. Give me next year's first and a 2nd this year. The 6th is a pretty early one to give up.
Maybe the value of the pick is close, I don't think so, but maybe it is. But here's the deal, if you want it pay for it. Cuz I can...
And in some cases they would have to give close to the same contract to a rookie. With a veteran they know what he can do in the NFL. A rookie could be good but could also never be a good NFL player. Would an owner rather pay more money to a proven vet or an untested rookie? I think plenty of...
I believe he's asking about RFAs. Which means final 8 rules don't apply, that only applies to UFAs. RFAs generally won't take huge contracts to sign. If they want a ton of money (i.e. Brandon Marshall) teams will just stop talks.I also believe that teams won't be going crazy with their money but...
A team not only has to have a pick in the round tendered to make an offer, they must have their own pick. For example Denver has a first round pick but couldn't make an offer on Campbell or any other RFA that has a first round tender because they don't own their original first round pick. San...
Bob Magaw went into, a little bit, what would have if Emmitt and Barry had been on opposite teams. I had been thinking about that before he brought it up. I see it a little different than just looking at titles.
Barry in Dallas: If you take into account Barry's style and the coaching, at least...
Truthfully I think the shorter period you use the truer to trends you are. So many rules change in a period of 10 years that the first 5 years of that 10 will probably throw off the whole thing.
Anyway this will give you total points, PPG, total yardage, YPG, Total INTs, and IPG for 2009. Just...
One other thing to remember when comparing RBs from different eras are rule changes. The rules have been changed to make the game "fan friendly" in other words more offense. This makes it even more difficult to compare players from different eras.
For example take Brown's best rushing year in...
