*** Official Super Bowl LI Thread - Falcons vs Patriots ***

They played well the past 6 games and shut down the "red hot" Aaron Rodgers.

    NFCCG: Packers at Falcons Discussion

This is why I wanted GB at home. Steelers nor Patriots defense will be able to stop the Falcons offense in the Super Bowl. Falcons defense just needs to stop the opposing team from scoring 30.

    2025 Atlanta Falcons Thread

It's a toss up, Dallas has a ball control offense that can score on long drives keeping the ball away from Ryan but I think the Cowboys won't be able to slow down the Falcons offense when they do get the ball. Packers can put up points but their defense also won't be able to stop Atlanta's...

Who's the 2016 NFL MVP right now?

Ryan had the toughest schedule in terms of opponent defensive rankings based on DVOA. The same 50 voters for the All-Pro team vote for the MVP and they voted 1st team for Matt Ryan by a large margin over Brady. In Vegas, Ryan is the heavy MVP favorite for voting (1 to 3, you need to bet $300 to...

Who's the 2016 NFL MVP right now?

Ryan faced the toughest schedule in terms of opposing defenses and Rodgers faced the 17th ranked. From: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamoff Atlanta went against six of the top 10 defenses in the NFL this season and averaged 32.3 points in those games (overall average was 33.8).

Who's the 2016 NFL MVP right now?

Matt Schaub would not put up the #'s Matt Ryan has, no way. Falcons would definitely not be NFC South champs with Schaub at the helm.

Who's the 2016 NFL MVP right now?

Atlanta and Matt Ryan faced the hardest schedule in terms of opponent defenses (according to footballoutsiders) and they still put up #'s.

Who's the 2016 NFL MVP right now?

Rodgers has been coming on lately but he was mediocre early on. He's been dinking the ball around (7.2 ypa) while Ryan may reach 5,000 yards with a 9.3 ypa (which is pretty insane to think about).

Who's the 2016 NFL MVP right now?

Matt Ryan, 9.26 Yards per attempt (almost a first down per attempt), more than a full yard higher than 2nd place Tom Brady. His Yards per attempt is the best in NFL history compared to the league average of that season. Highest QB rating and Total QBR. Played in all the games (Brady missed 4 and...

    2025 Atlanta Falcons Thread

Defense has been playing better, they actually have a pass rush now and Vic Beasley is becoming a stud. The best defensive player Trufant is out for the year and Clayborn, probably the 2nd best pass rusher is out for a month. They have a real favorable schedule though and shutdown Arizona for...

    Arizona at Atlanta

Atlanta's best games for the offense (besides that Carolina game) is when Julio is used more as a decoy and the ball is being spread around.

    Dynasty Value Check - QB

Says the guy who also said don't trust Ryan plenty of times in the past. Gabriel runs a 4.28 40 and is dangerous. Freeman will be resigned, Coleman is going to be giving defenses fits. Hooper is only going to get better. Things click for people. Drew Brees went for 7-8 seasons throwing 3500...

    Dynasty Value Check - QB

I highly doubt Ryan is going to regress. This offense is setup to be good for a long time (most of the skill players are so young and will only get better).

    WR Julio Jones, Retired

On that drive the defense singled him one on one like Carolina did and Matt threw the ball to him. Most of the game he was double covered and Matt went to other guys, he has plenty of weapons - Sanu, Gabriel (a 4.28 speedster), Freeman, Coleman, Tamme, Hooper. A much more diverse offense and...

    WR Julio Jones, Retired

When your most dangerous weapon is getting doubled and not getting open (I've watched every snap on the all 22) then it is definitely a situation and context to not target him as much, especially when others are winning their one on ones.
