:shrug: At some point you have to play the cards you are dealt with. The team needs to find out if he is the future or not. Having him ride the bench isn't going to help. The problem, IMO, is he hasn't adjusted the offensive scheme to McCarthy's strengths, nor adjust due to the subpar OL.

Agreed. O'Connell has taken a huge step back in play calling. He keeps calling deep routes and the QB continues to get nailed standing behind that OL. He never adjusts his game plan. So many dropped passes.. And easy catches. And the haters out there expecting McCarthy to be a star in only his...
