Messaging Apps - WhatsApp - Voxer - Signal etc vs just regular text?

I actually hesitated to call it like voice-mail because I HATE voice-mail and I don't like being on the phone. This doesn't feel like that at all. Voxer has somehow created a space that allows for such ease and comfort of use without it feeling like being on a call or checking VM. I can see that...

Messaging Apps - WhatsApp - Voxer - Signal etc vs just regular text?

I am a consistent high-volume user of Voxer. I'll do my best to explain how/why - and this may go in a different direction than is anticipated: - While Voxer has text functionality, that is clunky at best and would be a very poor reason to use the app. - Voxer allows users to send/share both...

DMB .. yes, this is the Dave Matthews Band thread

I can't think of a single album song I like better than the live version (even when the live version has a variety of iterations). Mmmmm....maybe Come Tomorrow just because it has Brandi Carlile's vocals. I really liked early DMB, but now looking back I realize just how much Dave's vocals have...

DMB .. yes, this is the Dave Matthews Band thread

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think the band is better than they've ever been. Buddy has really centered them imo. But then again I actually prefer the post-violin era anyway (another unpopular opinion).

Need Help Using CPAP Machine - Can't Fall Asleep

Mouth tape doesn't have to be fancy or expensive or even called mouth tape. I recommend this: 3M Transpore Clear Plastic Tape, 1 X 10 Yards, 1 Roll (I buy it on Amazon for $6.50/roll but only use it on airplanes (trying to sleep when sitting up).

Need Help Using CPAP Machine - Can't Fall Asleep

Here's another vote for the nasal pillows. If you have trouble keeping your mouth closed when you sleep you can use a simple mouth tape. Whatever you do, STICK WITH IT. Using a CPAP can be life changing - it has been for me and I wish that for you as well.

Survivor Season 48 -David was just joking with his season long death stares!

My guess is we're seeing Sue losing weight (water), but her lips aren't losing any mass, so it makes her lips look even more strange than before. Her skin is pulling back from the lips leaving them protruding even more (and it's like the skin immediately around her lips won't tan either so it's...

DMB .. yes, this is the Dave Matthews Band thread

That's super interesting because I have a hard time finding ANY DMB album version that I like better than live. And I like the album versions a lot. The good news is, we're both right.

DMB .. yes, this is the Dave Matthews Band thread

@Tau837 - thanks for the countdown. Fun to read even if I don't have the energy or desire to offer my agreements/disagreements. Just went to both nights at Fiddler's Green. The weather was great. That damn slope to the venue is not - make it really tough to stand without significant foot...

    Vegas

Just had a 3 night stay at Park MGM. Still really loving it there and it being smoke-free is such a bonus. Had a really nice meal at Toscana. Saw both Lady Gaga and the Brian Newman After Dark show at Park (the Nomad Library room is so cool). Our only bad experience this trip was terribly slow...

    Disney Vacation

My most recent visit to Ohana was excellent as well. The pacing and delivery of food is very different than it was 20 years ago, but the food still rocks IMO. And the view of MK is great.

    Colonoscopy preparation today.....

I know this comes up from time to time but I recommend SuTab prep (and it may not be too late for you to switch). My procedure is at 1:30 today - I took 12 pills within approx. 25 minutes of each other yesterday beginning at 6 PM. Then did the same thing at 6 AM today. 16 oz of water to wash...

    Colonoscopy preparation today.....

Starting my SuTab prep this evening. Procedure at 1:30 PM tomorrow. Had my first colonoscopy at this time last year (at age 52). There were a couple of "larger" polyps removed that were precancerous so I got the "we need to check in a year to make sure all clear" directive. Last time I got...

    CPAP machines

The timing of your question is interesting as I woke up this morning without my CPAP on - I can't remember that happening in the past 6+ months. Thankfully the CPAP is now acting as a sleep trigger for me. When I put it on (nasal pillows) at sleepy time, it pretty quickly tips me over into...

    CPAP machines

My nasal pillows for the Resmed Airsense 11 dont' wear out that fast, but I do find that the velcro straps on the head gear loosens over a couple of weeks. If I see my events/hr going up, it's a sign that my nasal mask isn't being worn tightly enough. YMMV
