    week 2 WW Defense

Houston could potentially be a solid defense this year, even converting to a 3-4. From what I understand, while Wade Phillips isn't a very good head coach, he is a very good defensive coordinator for the 3-4. The schedule starting Week 5 is:Wk 5 - OAKWk 6 - @ BALWk 7 - @ TENWk 8 - JACWk 9 -...

    week 2 WW Defense

I started Cleveland last week as well, hoping for a turnover or two. Cleveland also has a nice schedule for the first eight weeks or so, so I was hoping they might turn into an every week starter.Unfortunately, I'm starting to think I discounted their new defensive scheme and new DC, ****...

    Week 1 waiver wire pickups

The problem with Jones, aside from his inconsistency (which has already been mentioned), is that he only returns punts. He returned kickoffs for a week or two last year, but then stopped doing so (I don't know why). Danieal Manning was a very good KR for the Bears, and he returned one 46 yards...

    Week 16 Weather

Is this the Vick playoff game in the snow that people are referring to? Atlanta Falcons 27 at Green Bay Packers 7, Saturday, January 4, 2003 I hope not, because this is not the most impressive stat line - not awful, but not awesome either. I understand that 2010 Vick is better than 2003 Vick...

    Seahawks WR Ben Obomanu

Seems like he would still be a hold at this point. With reports that Mike Williams may miss Week 14, and possibly more IMO, he has two nice match-ups against SF (18th in receiving yards allows per game) and ATL (26th). Week 16 against TAM, not so nice (7th)... Edited to include link.

    Chicago WR's

I don't know if I'd call Knox a possession receiver, at least this year. He's 43/774/2, averaging 18 yards per reception, eight best in the league.

    What's up with the Bear's D?

I've been rolling with Chicago most of the year, but I'm sitting them this week for Cleveland at Buffalo.

    Week 14 Waiver Wire DST

Not a Browns fan, but they are ranked 4th and 5th, respectively, in the leagues I'm in. Certainly a viable option against Buffalo, IMO.

Man Dies after fall @ Bears & Eagles Game

http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...dier-field.html "Witnesses told emergency personnel that they saw the man run up to a ledge and jump." Possible suicide?

    Week 13 Waiver Wire

Add any others that I missed... Toby Gerhart 22/76/1, 2/5 - Value is of course dependent on how severe the Peterson injury is. Maurice Morris 9/55/2, 5/20 - If Best's toes keep him out of more games or limit his touches going forward... James Davis 6/11, 1/4 - He saw even touches (7 each)...

Is the CHI DEF an every week start the rest of the way?

While DEF and DEF/ST scoring systems vary from league to league, I'd be willing to bet that the CHI DEF is a top tier defense in almost every league. Tied for 1st in points allowed and 2nd in turnovers recovered, tied for 21st in sacks. According to my league scoring system, the only bad week...

    DEFENSE STRATEGY

For teams starting the CHI defense most weeks, CLE lines up well to cover their two tough match-ups -- Week 12 at home versus PHI, and Week 14 at home versus NE. A CHI/CLE pairing the rest of the season looks like this: Week 12: CHI vs. PHI/CLE vs. CAR Week 13: CHI @ DET/CLE @ MIA Week 14...

    **Official 4th Pick Thread**

Had the 4th pick in a 12 team redraft/very limited keeper league. All TDs 5 pts, QB 1/50 yds, RB/WR/TE 1/20 yds and 0.5 PPR, all return yds 1/20. Starting lineups of QB/RB/WR/TE/FLEX/FLEX/FLEX/FLEX/K/DEF. 1. (4) Ray Rice 2. (21) Larry Fitzgerald 3. (28) Greg Jennings 4. (45) Antonio Gates...

Why didn't they review Peterson's fumble?

The ref's seemed to be letting the teams play last night and not calling a ton of penalties. Seven total according to the box score. The non-call on that play seems consistent with how they were calling the game.

    Punt and Kickoff Returners 2009

Devin Thomas, WR, Washington, may be worth a pick-up, at least for this weeks game against the Saints. He has been involved in the passing game recently (2/37, 3/33, and 4/46 the last three weeks) and appears to be the main KR as well as long as Cartwright is starting at RB. He had four...
