It is a pretty obscure rule that to be honest I have never actually seen come into play in all my years of watching and reffing football....I can understand why there was some pause and discussion....

at live speed the play is virtually impossible to officiate by the guys on the side who are really the only ones with a view of the ball/snap....it only takes a few milliseconds to get an advantage and we have seen several cases now (on replay) where PHI has started early and is able to gain...

is what it is but at some point if they continue to let PHI get a jump on the snap....some defense is going to say screw it and launch into Hurts with badder intentions then WAS did....especially at the goal line when a 15 yard penalty costs you half a yard or less...

tush push is hard to defend straight up...impossible when oline is allowed to get a head start....TD becomes 4th and 6...
