    Moss & Witten Value

While his stats weren't flashy, he did lead the team in receptions with 7. Overall, a very average day for a FFL TE.

    Philly Fans

:pickle: This is how I feel as well. Its not that losing to the Cowboys has worse implications, just that the Phillies were in the WS for the 2nd year in a row having just won a championship. They lost game 6 to a better team and at their park. I'm proud of the Phils and still think they are...

    Moss & Witten Value

Witten is playing the Eagles this week. Check TE stats vs. Philly....his value is sure to go up Monday morning. Could be a good 'sell high' opp.

2009 Sundays in the Shark Pool

That and all the  posts are not really necessary. Andy does a nice job keeping the threads clean but he could probably do without the added work.

    Commish question

Yes, but both owners made and agreement (allegedly) to do this so neither is at a disadvantage for the week while benefiting later. If one decided he would just take the 0 that's fine. But they agreed to both do it. And yes a rule change would be in order in the off season. And while it may be...

    Commish question

I view it as 2 teams making an agreement that has a negative impact on the rest of the league. Seems like collusion to me. What's your definition out of curiosity? And yes, it would be the same if the 2 owners made and agreement not to start a kicker. Two owners making an agreement constitutes...

    Commish question

They are making an arrangement that provides a benefit to each other at the end of the year (re-signing more players) which has a negative effect on the rest of the league.I would disallow it and put the 2 owners on notice.

Convicted felons playing in the NFL

Exactly. To me there's a significant difference between someone who is profiting from, and enjoying, the pain and death of an animal. The other's just hoping to get home from the club. Not everyone who's responsible for a death is happy about it.

Convicted felons playing in the NFL

Absolutely, as I've previously posted. But you can't equate the acts as being on the same level. You might speed on your way home, but if you cause an accident and someone dies are you a heinous individual? Poor judgment resulting in a death, imo, is not on the same level as intentionally...

Convicted felons playing in the NFL

I think you're splitting hairs. To put it in more common terms - one is poor judgment resulting in tragedy while the other is a premeditated, heinous act to inflict harm.

Convicted felons playing in the NFL

I agree the *result* is 100x worse. The mentality is not.

Convicted felons playing in the NFL

The difference between Stallworth and Vick, for me, is that Stallworth did not get in his car and say "I think I'll go kill me some people". Whereas Vick participated in taking electrodes and saying "I'm gonna kill this dog". One is evil to the core. The other is a gross error in judgement...

    Brian Westbrook

In addition to the concerns about his health, I'm also skeptical of the Eagles offensive line. I don't think Shawn Andrews has practiced yet and is playing a new position, moving from guard to tackle. I think the line will need a few games before they start to jell as a unit. Westbrook has...

    portis vs. LJ

:goodposting: LJohnson was on pace for 1490 yds from scrimmage with 8 total TDs. Portis' actual numbers were 1651 yds from scrimmage and 11 TDs (plus 1 passing TD).
