    College QB J.J. McCarthy, Michigan

Michigan had a dominant o-line and a great team last year, but when things broke down what I liked when pushed out of the pocket JJ was still looking "pass first" then run. Then when he had to run he can get first downs and more. How that translates to the NFL? As with any QB nobody knows.

2024 College Football Thread: FSU and Clemson sue ACC for making them share a conference with SMU

Reading the violations they are a joke. The NCAA will cease to exist for college football and BB within 2 years. With NIL and two open portals there is no need for the NCAA. Just have a commish like the NFL. Nobody will care if a coach or non-coach worked with player instruction.

    HC Bill Belichick,

Reid is a lifer who has given his life to the game at the expense of his family, as he has admitted many times that he was never home. At this point I don`t see him leaving for a long time.

Caitlin Clark’s rookie salary is $76,000

Don`t forget they need old black dudes who only watch the men's game to get on board as well to change the culture. I enjoy watching the women play once in awhile, but have to admit I don`t go out of my way to watch. It is all about what kind of revenue they can produce. Have to admit the...

    WR Stefon Diggs, HOU

How many "diva" WRs have rings? Owens, Ocho, Moss, 3 of the best ever have a combined total of zero. Brown won 1 with Brady but was on his best behavior that season as he was happy that year just to be on a team again, then went haywire the next season.

    WR Stefon Diggs, HOU

I will never understand how some athletes are playing a game they grew up with, making more $$$$ that they ever dreamed of, yet for some reason happiness and peace of mind is still missing. Diggs for whatever reason even in Minny always felt like he was not getting his just due.

    Harbaugh's ego

Watching a few Michigan games the last few years they dominated in the trenches with physical football. Still, I doubt they pass on Harrison if he is there.

Hip drop tackle: what is it? Should it be a penalty? Will the refs even be able to identify and call it correctly?

Chops, and crackbacks are much easier to avoid as players line up and blindside the defenders. Tackling a juking, moving target is much different. The hip drops will still happen just as crackbacks and chops still happen, but it will be a penalty now. Take the yards and move on.

Hip drop tackle: what is it? Should it be a penalty? Will the refs even be able to identify and call it correctly?

Nothing apparent, it is their pulse. The NFLPA was against this being a penalty.

Hip drop tackle: what is it? Should it be a penalty? Will the refs even be able to identify and call it correctly?

I have been following this on Twitter and all the NFL players commenting. Many D players have said they have tackled this way before without even knowing they did. Sometimes it just happens. Reality is you can`t ban tackles, so it is not banned, it will just be a penalty if called. Troy...

Hip drop tackle: what is it? Should it be a penalty? Will the refs even be able to identify and call it correctly?

Exactly...it is not a premediated act to injure, same as when a direct hit that shreds a knee is not premediated ..it is a reaction.

Hip drop tackle: what is it? Should it be a penalty? Will the refs even be able to identify and call it correctly?

Agree 💯 Players know the game better than any of us keyboard warriors. If it gets called 15 yards..whatever.

Hip drop tackle: what is it? Should it be a penalty? Will the refs even be able to identify and call it correctly?

Andrews just looked like a regular tackle from defender trying to stop a TD, also his foot got caught in the turf and that does not help matters. What we have to remember is we watch replays slowed down and analyze. The defenders are playing at fast game speed and reacting in a split second...
