I was impressed with Spain. I had read about the mutiny against the coach last year and didn’t know what to expect but I thought they were clearly the better team against a good, well coached England.
With the rest of the world putting money into women's development, I wonder if the USWNT starts looking at recruiting dual nats. US troops in Germany must have had daughters also.
I don’t understand how they played 4 matches without Cook or Sanchez getting a single minute. IMO Cook at CB, Ertz in for Sullivan at DM and Sanchez in an attacking midfield role gives them a better chance to win and also gives WC experience to 2 players that should be around in 4 years.
I don’t know why it happened but that seemed like the biggest issue with this team. Morgan and Rapinoe were past their prime and Smith and Rodman weren’t there yet. I think a healthy Lavelle and Mal Swanson would have helped generate more offense but someone still needs to finish.
The exclusion of gain on the sale of a primary residence only applies to the gain from appreciation. Any depreciation taken would need to be recaptured.
Fun fact, technically you need to recapture any depreciation that would have been allowed even if you didn’t claim it (allowed or allowable).
