I do believe upper class folks and rural folks will continue to use traditional cars for the foreseeable future. Upper class probably a mix - will use both driverless and traditional.
yes, a susbscription model....particularly in urban areas.
No garage/parking requirements
No auto insurance(or reduced)
No energy(gas or electric)
No maintenance
No depreciation
No cleaning
Too many cost benefits to offset any minor inconvenience....especially for lower and middle class...
My larger point is that that driverless cars are inevitable. Like many new technology disruptors, a portion of the population will be resistant to change and then those same people will realize their fears were unfounded.
That's essentially how I see this playing out.
Been in AZ and California for almost a decade now, will slowly make its way to the other parts of the country.
I'm sure there are a bunch of "get off my lawn' and "old man yells at the sky" folks in the midwest and east coast, but they'll evolve eventually.
Trading Places and there isn't a close second.
A very distant second is "Spies Like Us", arguably the most underrated comedy of the decade.
I'll go Blues Brothers 3rd although that movie was all about 10 other actors IMHO.
shedeur haters not backing down in this thread....as expected.
We should make sure they aren't deleting their posts...a common tactic of shark pool trolls.
the tic tac video is the best proof I've ever seen. And because it was recently presented in a congressional hearing with no conclusions as to what it was, I'm more interested than I've ever been.
why is this being discredited as proof by some?
