Consensus Top 350 Albums of All-Time: 103. Wildflowers – Tom Petty

Went with a different Van Morrison album, but Astral Weeks is incredible and could have easily gone with that. I'll still contend Van the Man is underrated in the pantheon of rock legends.

Re-reading these posts about highest ranked albums that missed the cut and the discussion about how no one has heard of most of the bands @Dan Lambskin listens to, it got me thinking. I believe everyone's #1 ended up making the countdown, right? It looks like for four of us our #2 missed the cut...

I'm good with "The Weight" if that's cool with everyone else. I had been planning to pick "Up On Cripple Creek" if I was high ranker on this, but I think that was chosen for The Band, correct? "Caravan" is probably my favorite performance on this album, but I think it needs to be an original...

Marvel Cinematic Universe - Loved Thunderbolts*! - Also Marvel Trivia May 5th at 9 EST on FootballGuys

He's an Omega-level reality manipulation mutant and has powers that even extend to creating alternate universes. A lot of really powerful characters including Onslaught and the Celestials have tried to take him for his abilities.

Literally my last cut. #71 on my extended list and I didn't feel good about leaving it off. I don't think @Dan Lambskin and me have many overlapping taste, but also agree with his choice of "The Call of Ktulu." Either my first or second favorite Metallica song, depending on the day.

Not ragging on your pick because it's a good song and I like the inclusion of June. But this seems like one that absolutely demands the most famous track on the album, if for no other reason than to get the "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash." Another that just missed the cut for me. I'm not a big...

Not my highest ranked Dylan album, but one of the few that broke out of that 70-100 range that I mentioned previously. I'd honestly be fine with anything from this one including the opener. I suspect "Visions of Johanna" will get support from Tim and others, and I can't argue with that. It's...

I guess that's fair. I was aware of that, but was under the impression that it was just a couple of tracks. I never dug into it more to learn how much was actually edited. I'm not sure that changes anything for me. My #1 album is a live album that had a few post-production edits, and everyone...

Untrue. Live at Hull 1970 was recorded the next night. I also included that album on my list. I actually struggled with whether to include two such similar live albums, but Hull has a full performance of Tommy so I couldn't leave it off.

Well I'm a jam guy so I love that version of "My Generation," but agree it wouldn't be fair to everyone. Seems like it should be a Who original. I'd go with "Magic Bus." I love how frenetic it is compared to the studio version.

This is the quintessential Americana album, though also had wide-ranging influence - Eric Clapton, George Harrison, and Roger Waters are among those who have cited it as one of the most influential albums.

I went with a different Coltrane album but could have easily picked this one

Some good choices today. Not a huge ZZ Top fan, but Tres Hombres is a blues masterpiece. And "I Never Loved a Man" is probably my favorite Aretha song, excepting anything that features Duane Allman.

Wow, I'm shocked I'm the only one to rank this. When going through my choices for the ones I thought made the list, I considered this a sure thing. I guess that means something I ranked higher that I didn't think made the list actually did.
