    Eagles Receivers (Cooper/Mathews)

Thanks, guys, for your input. I appreciate it.

    Eagles Receivers (Cooper/Mathews)

Anyone have an opinion about where these guys stand? On a day when Nick Foles threw for 325 yards and 3 TDs Cooper laid another egg while Mathews had a great game. Was this a one-week event against a weak Redskins pass defense, or is something more fundamental going on here?

    Rent-a-Defense: Week 5

Had Cleveland, did reasonably well. Played Titans last week and did great. But this week I'm going with the Stains, even though Atlanta is available. Some of these young defensive players the Saints have look sharp--very aggressive, i.e. not the passive pass rush we're used to seeing down...

Jeff Fisher Shows Incredibly Poor Judgment

Give Fisher a break. It was a charity fundraiser for Rocketown. Charity fundraisers are supposed to be upbeat and funny, not events that make people feel like they're at a funeral. Anyone who wants to dress in black and mourn should go to Oakland and watch Lerch Addams play quarterback. :lmao:

    Kevin Jones or Reggie Bush

What he said. This is the third year I've had Jones. Somehow he's always the "best available" player when it's my turn to draft, or, like this year, when I pick him up off the waiver wire. Whenever I start him, I always pray that he doesn't break or get stuffed. I would take Bush over him in...

    Wr's are a dime a dozen

Since there's a lot of quant info on this site, there must be an equation for success. Here's my stab at it:Let S = Your Fantasy Football Success Let S' = Your Opponent's Fantasy Football Success Let B = Bad Luck (Your #1 pick for the 2007 Draft was Steven Jackson.) Let G = Good Luck (You...

    Downgrade/Bench Marvin?

No. Just kidding. For the record, I recognize that on any given Sunday anything can happen--and it did: My other "studs," with the exception of Braylon Edwards--all sucked. If I were really a genius, I would have played Wayne and listened to the guy who wrote the "I'm benching...

    Downgrade/Bench Marvin?

You're right: Manning found Wayne--for 38 yards and a TD. Whoopee. Meanwhile, I guess everyone who played Harrison today and lost because of it can still console themselves that they played their stud. Way to go, fellas, and better luck next week. ;)

    Downgrade/Bench Marvin?

Well, since they haven't played the game yet, it remains to be seen whether or not it was a good idea. :pics: But I take exception to your contention that my decision to bench Wayne defies all logic. If playing my studs means putting up the guys who are scoring the most points over the last...

    Downgrade/Bench Marvin?

Normally I start Steve Smith, Reggie Wayne, and Roy Williams, but this week I'm benching Wayne in favor of Braylon Edwards. Sometimes, I think, you've just got to go against the status quo, sort of like when Admiral Halsey started Raymond Spruance at the Battle of Midway.

When does a player become a "stud"?

    I'm sorry, but I don't speak Kwalhioqua.

When does a player become a "stud"?

I generally follow the "Always play your studs" philosophy (Yes, I realize the contradiction between my use of the terms "generally" and "always." Bear with me), but at what point does a stud become a dud and someone who needs to be benched? Let's say, for example, that I have Larry Johnson as...

    Venting Thread Week 2

Why not? I thought this was a venting/ranting thread for "all your venting," including "venting about software eg CBS, NFL.COM, MFL etc."

Ridiculous money spent on first round QBs

I had to chuckle at the irony when you mentioned Carr. The Texans used the first overall pick of the 2002 draft on him (as in first pick in franchise history). Carr was undoubtedly talented, but he went on to obtain the NFL record for most times sacked in a season. (One can only speculate how...
