So the league redistributed the $46m from the Skins/Cowboys and separately added ~$5m to each team's cap (to get from ~$115m to ~$120m per team -- the $150m gain you refer to). I missed that extra $5m per team part. Just to get the NFLPA to buy off on the punishment and/or cover D Smith's butt...

Seems like it would be hard to take it away after free agency is all but over. Harder even than taking $36MM from a team on the eve of free agency. ;)

Does anyone else find it ironic that the Redskins and Cowboys included the NFLPA in the suit? In other words, they have to sue the players to be allowed to pay them more! And what's up with the players signing off on a deal where league punishes the teams that didn't colllude to keep salaries...

This is what the salary floor is all about. Even the small market teams have to compete. It's a great league.
