I'd agree no Titans fan should be expecting more than 5-6 wins. Haven't seen the Vegas line, but I would lay a decent amount that their O/U will be 5.5 for the year.
By position:
QB: I'm a huge Locker fan, and think he will be a great pro. I do NOT think he should see the field this year...
That blows...I still have every copy of this since the '95 season, when they put Steve Young on the cover and had an article about how he was so far and away the #1 player that snake drafts that year should have the person with the #1 OA pick choose last in the 3rd round, in addition to the 2nd...
Fitzpatrick has played well in spurts in his career, but never has been able to show sustained success.
OL is still terrible.
I doubt its possible for Lee Evans and CJ Spiller to be as underutilized as they were last year.
David Nelson may (may) give them a legitimate non-smurf 3rd WR option...
Mediocre team with possibly the worst set of skill players at WR/TE in the league.
Big Sam Bradford fan, but I'm not sure adding a new coordinator and having him learn a new system with no offseason to prepare is a recipe for him jumping into the top 5 as many are predicting here. Further, I...
QB play was mediocre, but definitely not his biggest issues.Titans' OL was one of the wost run blocking units in the league last year, and may have the worst interior run-blocking line in the league (Harris, Amano, Scott). Unfortunately, they will all be back (though Harris and Amano did...
Titans passing on A.J. Green for Nick Fairley would make me a sad panda.
Of all the guys in the top 10, other than Newton, there is no one I want less than Fairley.
Palmer or Hass...this Titans fan has no clue why we'd want either. Both appear close to done, the team isn't set up especially well to win now. There are cheaper, easier to get rid of options that could be a placeholder for a young signal-caller (Bulger, Volek).
I'm a big Kyle Orton fan, so...
I understand why the Packers didnt retain him (Finley coming back, Jennings/Nelson can start, Driver still a good #3, Swain decent #4)...
That said, Jones is one of the best 64 WRs in the league and will certainly have a starting job elsewhere next year. He'd look great in ATL...
Apples and OrangesPeppers was $16.7m and knew he would be starting and has 4-5 years of peak performance left, Williams' tag would be about $8.1m, and his next contract will likely be his last due to his age (28 in August). Williams isn't going to sign his tender this year to play for $8.1m...
Or stomping on Andre Gurode's face.Or paralyzing a man in a traffic accident where he was driving aggressively and over 100 mph. Or defaulting on a $2.5m loan despite getting paid tens of millions.Or assaulting the victim of ANOTHER traffic accident he caused, by punching the man in the face.If...
