Said this in the other 'hottest pickup' thread, but Denard Robinson. WR eligible in most leagues and is seeing an increasing workload in the backfield because Gerhart looks awful.
Forsett got the 3rd down snaps & the two split the two goalline snaps.
Looks like Pierce w/ Forsett as the 3rd down back for now, but Pierce keeps running like this and that could change quickly.
Forsett is the Benjarvus Green-Ellis, Earnest Graham, Olandis Gary, Steve Slaton, whomever else of this year. Book it.
It's all shaping up for it. Bizarre situation leads to him getting carries, Kubiak's proficiency with running offenses, little else on the team to impede his ascension to the...
Maybe. Guys have done worse. I think most people would have written off Vick after pictures of those dogs started leaking out.
Sadly, this is in some ways a PR game at this point. It depends on how badly he wants back in. If he's willing to grovel for a year, do charity/advocate work, find...
100% agree.
He has to do the mea culpa tour. Once he does that, the story becomes "he's turned his life around" and he'll start developing allies in the league and media again and he'll get back on a team.
No chance he's finished. He's on a team's camp roster next year.
Pierce may get a 'this is your last chance' look Thursday, but Forsett will definitely at least split carries, and if Pierce's track record is any indication it doesn't look good for him.
Forsett's probably the guy to get for now. If you don't believe Forsett can last, then maybe you want to...
I think the reason you look at Forsett is even if Pierce gets carries Thursday, he's never done anything. Career 3.7 YPC & 2.9 last season. Forsett looked good, and he can pass block, so it seems like there's very little in his way.
Unless Hoyer bombs across multiple starts, Weeden isn't coming back.
Mike Lombardi hates everything about the way Brandon Weeden plays the position. I assume Joe Banner thinks the same way since he and Lombardi are philosophically close.
Having watched every Browns game so far, Hoyer moves far...
He's a decent buy low in the sense that I think they still have two games vs. PHI and two vs. WAS which are nice games for any RB, but yeah, I wouldn't go nuts.
But the most important point is the only chance the Giants have to be productive is protect Manning, and the line is a wreck, which...
Not really. Scott's been playing more snaps, and seen the majority of the passing down situations. Problem was he's terrible too. Coughlin may have just figured Scott's not any better than Wilson, and since they're both bad, might as well keep Wilson out there since he's a better offensive...
I wonder if this it is just as simplistic as they signed Jacobs a few weeks ago, he's in better football shape after a few weeks with the team and they're going to use him now as the primary pass blocker on passing downs.
I find it hard to believe Cox will play any major role. Wilson's pass...
