I just noticed you play 8v8. I'd recommend a 2-3-2. One of the forward spots is an easy hiding place for your weakest player. You must ensure your wide mids get back when you don't have possession. Put your 3 best players at CM, LD (keep the stronger foot in the middle), and F (RF if playing...
As as a member of the Pro Staff for one of Texas' biggest clubs, this post needs more love. There's a gold mine in here.
For my U9s (or U10s or U8s), I start off every practice with 12 minutes of Coerver drills. They take a while to teach in the beginning, but after a month I can go fast and...
Another one I almost always use:
“Can you tell me about a time you were given an assignment but you lacked the necessary knowledge to accomplish it?”
Very few people are going to be able to come to a new position in with all of the experience required to be immediately successful. There is...
The one question I always ask:
“Can you tell me about a time whereby you made a mistake or made a bad decision? How did you go about fixing the situation?”
I want to know if they are self-aware and humble enough to acknowledge weakness. Answers fall into 3 categories. One is an immediate...
This.
Season one is good. Season two is fair. Seasons three and four are probably the greatest thing ever put on television. You can quit there. Season five is just fair.
The new tactic would have changed my vote in a category or two.
Must say, Mourinho would never make such an initial tactical error exposing his back line, especially with Terry there. For all JT's brilliance, pace isnt a strength. He needs a shield and some speed around him to cover. When that...
I would like to keep voting in these, but it would be helpful if we could standardize an easy way to view rosters, along with a quick summary.
Ideal would be each coaches lineup, along with a brief couple sentences making their specific case for why they should get my vote in each of the...
This was a turning point for me that gave me false hope of a win. I was buried in looking how to protect our king and keep his D pawn from getting home with a bunch of defensive moves. This turned us back onto the offensive. I wouldn't have seen this at all, and it probably would have cost me...
In retrospect, given that we crowd sourced things together, I guess it's fairly predictable in retrospect that such a format would result in us both not making a wild move as well as also not missing anything fairly obvious.
So given the position at the time prior to each turn, it was pretty much a draw the whole way through and neither side ever had a winning position, right?
So we while we may not have made a killer move, we never did miss something. I feel pretty proud of us.
A whole bunch of people not as good as you. Well played, sir.
I have bunch of questions, but my first one is whether we blundered somewhere in the end game and missed an opportunity you were worried about?
